  1. Clover Help- The documentation has no screenshots, and is too topical especially for set up. I found it to be completely lacking and unhelpful.

  2. Please add a way to manage vendors. I don't understand why you did not do this to begin with, I should not have to buy a subscription to some 3rd party app to do this.

  3. Restrict Employee access to view items to certain Categories only, instead of ALL ITEMS.
    Would be good if I can setup an employee that only has access to a specific category. As an example, they are going to be selling items at an outdoor event, but they will only have 3 or 4 specific items with them, instead of all 150 of our items. Limiting their view, in this scenario, would make their life easier.

  4. Error message that actually tell you what the problem is so you do not have to contact support.

    Example: Everytime I tried to add an image to an inventory item, it would just say ERROR when I tried to save, with no further explanation. After spending 30-minutes on hold waiting for support, they told me I had to turn Online Ordering ON in order for the image to save.
    It would have been nice to have an error message that said "Error: can not save image because online ordering is not turned on."

  5. When an order being paid before its closed there should be an option to leave the tip to the person that opened the order (waitress or bartender). Many times people eat and stand up and pay at the bar or ask another waitress they want to pay and the person that opened the order loses their tip. I have a few restaurants that have this issue. There should be an option to be able to choose who gets the tip and to split it also.

  6. Clover Dashboard Welcome Screen: Currently, the owner's name shows up next to Welcome on the main page of Clover Dashboard. Please add a feature to change this in a way that the merchant's can see their DBA name next to Welcome.

  7. BACK BUTTON. New Clover user here, about 2 months in. Staff comes to me multiple times a day stuck in the payment screen. We have to comp that ticket and make a new one and hopefully they remember to put "do not make" so the kitchen doesn't make the food again. Our customers check out at the front register after eating. We split them up by guests. If one pays, we can't go back if the second guest wants to add a cookie or use a discount code. This holds up the line and makes reporting a bit messy.

  8. Currently, one of our retailer clients is using the orders app (“split amount”, then “pay more later”) as their layaway feature. Amongst a few flaws with this process, one major flaw is that it is not a true layaway feature, and the layaway should last more than 90 days!

  9. Merchant would like to be able to add a customizable delivery fee such as $2, $3, $5 to different customer profiles and be able to automatically add that delivery fee amount to those customers orders.

  10. There are a lot of services that are able to do this with Instagram, but not Clover. It would be nice to have an order now button that led to the online ordering menu.

  11. For online ordering we merchants should be able to schedule holiday hours in advance.
    Eg. If I want to schedule us as closed for Christmas Day I shouldn't have to go in and manually turn ordering off and back on on that day. I should be able to schedule that in advance.

    This seems like a really obvious feature to me that's missing (We can set special hours in Facebook, Google, Skip the Dishes, but not here in Clover for some reason?)

  13. Having a HIPAA compliant register would be beneficial for clients wanting to access the full potential of the Clover systems. A register that meets these standards makes the customer and employee experience much better. As it is now, our staff has to input the same information into 3 points of sale to complete one transaction. I would like to simplify this process by having access to the register component. Please get the software HIPAA compliant for the register so we can move forward.

  14. Hello Clover Team!

    Is it possible for Clover to come out with dark mode/dark theme? Many other POS out there have such feature and Clover does not currently offer this. Currently due to my eye condition it is difficult for me to see anything on a white background. I am sensitive to light. The display brightness helps a bit, but lowering the brightness pretty low also makes it difficult to read with the display is too dim. Thus why I am requesting Clover releases Dark Mode feature. Using Dark Mode makes a world of difference for me. Just a lot…

  15. How about instead of hanging up on people calling for quotes and then making them wait for the representatives to finish their new calls, you just have the representative that answered the phone help. The price of your units becomes completely irrelevant when the customer service that is received for asking for a simple quote becomes infuriating. Your system could be free and I wouldn't use it after that experience.

  17. When printing out shift reports, the employees names should remain in the same order. Instead, the order goes by who clocks in first. At the end of the week when we do payroll it is very time consuming to go through all our shift reports and find certain employees.

  19. In the Account & Setup > Business Information > Business Hours:
    It only allows the business hours to close at 12 AM at the latest. Currently, we are not able to put our business hours to close at 1 AM or later.
