Clover online ordering is a nightmare to administer due to the lack of this feature. When stock reaches zero online buyers should not be able to place an order.

Not only is 86 critical but at least an option for the user to select if they want inventory decrement to be counted upon order (when it is being consumed = GONE) or upon sale (when customers pays) is critical in Clover Dining, especially with online ordering! I am perplexed how clover can tout an “upgrade” to the inventory module and not include these two critical aspects at least in Clover Dining. The UI of the new inventory module is also too cumbersome with multiple clicks to expand drop downs when all was nicely visible on one screen before.
Clover, please acknowledge these critical requests. You are making life harder for restaurants not easier!
And so far none of the integrated apps provide a workaround. -

I agree. At the moment we have to communicate to have someone disable the online item if we are out. If we could have an option to make specific items have a countdown tracking feature to automatically disallow customers from purchasing the item once it reaches 0 would be so helpful.

The 86/grayed out item/item not available today option is a MUST! On behalf of every other merchant on here, Clover desperately needs this BASIC POS function. It is a standard function in just about every POS. We will lose customers and waste time if we can’t fix this very simple problem.
The new update to the GUI is great but there are other functions that require IMMEDIATE attention from Clovers devs.

I'm a BBQ joint that commonly sells out of items such as brisket, pork, etc. I would love to enable online ordering but it would be a mess if we can't immediately mark something "sold out" or "out of stock". That way online customers would not be able to order the item so that they wouldn't arrive thinking they will get something that has been sold out. If this is not doable then Clover online ordering may not be for us.

The item at 0 suggestion does not work for integrations and connected Apps. Clover needs a 86 function that makes the item unavailable for the rest of the shift - to re-appear the following business day.

As a Clover merchant with 100+ restaurant locations using a newly integrated order-ahead App, the ability to mark items Out of Stock (also called 86) would help our online orders be more accurate, as customers will then only be able to order what is in stock, as opposed to what may be out of stock.
Just about every POS system carries this functionality to mark items out of stock, can Clover make this a native feature?

Hi, we are a franchised restaurant model where the inventory number is not as clear cut. Does Clover (or any of its supported Apps) offer the ability to 86 the item from the POS when we want to move to a different day-part or an item is sold out?

Merchants wants the ability to auto disappear or hide item when a item stock hits 0. With online ordering restaurants want the ability to track stock and show stock out of stock when it hits 0.

Clover dining needs at 86 (out of stock) button in which I can go into the inventory and choose the item as OUT OF STOCK. Once this is complete the item it grayed out on menu so no one can ring up item. This is a must on the dining app

Just to add, the item or modifier still needs to appear, it just needs to be non-selectable so that the server/cashier knows that it is just out of stock/unavailable NOT that it has been permanently removed.
