Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Customer Engagement Features. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover software to improve customer experiences, increase traffic, and retain loyalty for merchants. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas about built-in functions on the Clover Dashboard (feedback on customer engagement apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

  1. Can you please add the ability when exporting customer contact list from the dashboard to see the # of transactions a customer has done. Since merchants are not able to export any information from a customer once within that customer profile, merchants are requesting on the excel sheet a column that provides the number of transactions that customer has done. We have some merchants that want to start their own loyalty program but not enough information provided when exporting the info to excel.

  2. When looking at the customer list on clover.com, I want to be able to sort alphabetically through my customers but there is no way to do this

  3. This is exactly what Square does, and it works wonderfully and seamlessly. When a customer pays at a Square terminal with a credit card and inputs their email address for a receipt, the card number and email are automatically associated and saved across the network. From then on, any Square terminal will automatically email a receipt to the same address when that card number is processed.

    Presumably some customers will not want this option, even if the address isn’t used for marketing purposes, so there should be a way to opt out.

  4. It is extremely annoying to have 2 customer profiles after they have purchased items, and also set up a membership online

  5. there needs to be a way to turn off the automatic retrieval of customer names from credit cards. All it does is add useless information to the customer list and make using that feature impossible.

  6. Wants to be able to limit modifiers on rewards program. So that customers can only add limited toppings modifiers.

  7. Admin / account holders should have the option to disable saving any customer information. Regardless if the payment is made Virtual Terminal, or via contactless payment. Not having / not saving any of this data could / would be preferable form a PCI compliance and security standpoint.

  8. When a card is run with the same name as someone in the Customers app with notes, the note should appear in a popup in the Register. That way, for example, we can write "Always gets 10% off" or "Use house tab" or "Do not serve" and it will show up to more easily communicate with our staff.

  10. Merchant is using the payments service plan and is able to download and use the customer app, create, edit and save customer profiles. But when he processes transactions through VT and assigns a customer to the invoice, the email doesn't automatically populate.

  11. Other systems allow customers to use a barcode for an employee to search their profile in the system. It would be very helpful if the barcode scanner, (built in or USB) would be able to be an authorized input device within the Customers App.

  13. Merchant wants to have the ability to zero out their customers rewards point with a button, instead of manually adjusting the points. Also they want the capability to adjust all or multiple customers at once.

  14. Need a method to Zero out Rewards points for quarterly, semi-annual, annual maintenance.

    It's a huge financial liability to not be able to expire points on a regular basis. I need an "easy button" to reset points to Zero for all our customers.

    I have been told by Clover Support to uninstall the app and reinstall it, but that did not work. All the customer data and points were in-tact.

  15. When you sell a gift card there would be a pop up asking for the gift card number. When you redeem the gift card in settlement it would have a pop up asking for the gift card number. This way small business are able to track outstanding gift card.

  19. We are seeing duplicate customer in the customer file. I suspect that there is a sync issue between the customer file, rewards, & text/email receipts. We can manually add a customer on the back end, but when they sign up for rewards it creates a new customer record. On transactions where we have a validated customer, if we select to email/text them a receipt it prompts us to re-enter phone number/email address which creates yet another duplicated customer record. How do we keep our customer file 'uncluttered' with duplicates?

  20. I would like to send my customers a birthday coupon for each month. So if there is a way to group just the birthdays for one month to send to only those customers that one month. Like January birthdays could be pulled up and send a mass text to just those customers with a Happy Birthday message and a coupon. Then month to month for the year. I do have my customers set up on the reward program so I do collect their birthday information each time they sign up. Thanks!!!
