Split payments and Clover Gift Cards do not work
If you have a large party and they would like to have multiple checks, you CANNOT apply a Clover Gift card to any particular guest.
What happens is when you bring up that Guest for payment, apply a Clover Gift Card, the gift amount goes to the ENTIRE BILL and not for that guest. It is counter-intuitive because you split up the bill properly ahead of time.
The work around is to select items for that Guest, move to an empty table, and run that payment separately. This only works IF you do it BEFORE you start taking payments on that table, because once you process a payment, the order is LOCKED and you cannot move anything around.
The suggestion is complex:
A) do not lock down the balance of the ticket once a partial payment has been started. Not sure how you would fix this, but it honestly sucks as things are set up now.
B) Fix Clover Gift Cards so that multiple gift cards can be used specifically for any guest that uses them.
