Servers required to declare tips before clocking out
Several POS companies including xxxx can require the wait staff employee to declare tips in order to open the option of clocking out. The business justification for this feature is that the IRS requires that wait staff employee tips must be declared at some point anyway, as part of the payroll process, by the employer. This shifts that responsibility to the wait staff employee so the employer/manager/accountant does not have to spend literally hours sifting through each individual's hours and sales to determine tips to declare for each shift. Ability to Identify History on Changes; who and when
As a business owner, I have had issues with people accessing other employee codes and making changes that should not have been made regarding our inventory or even deleting orders. It is important to be able to identify changes being made and provide the history and analytics for those things that include information such as; was the change made online or on the clover register, what employee made it, time stamp, and identify the changes made and what it was prior.
