Automatically Alphabetize Items in Categories
We are constantly adding new items into our register app. We organize these items by categories. When adding new items and assigning a category, it is easier to view these items in alphabetical order. In order to achieve this with the clover, we are require to manually drag items around to arrange them in alphabetical order.
Previous POS systems we have used had a "button" that allowed us to automatically alphabetize the items in a category, if we chose to do so. This is a feature that is desperately needed and seems relatively easy to support.

Color Coding Menu items/ Categories
Have heard from merchants moving from Shopkeep that they really liked the ability to color code categories and items as it would help their team quickly identify whatever they are searching for - so quicker customer experience.
Any chance to allow us to color code things on the gui side?

Inventory Tracking for Returned Items
Currently, when using the the Inventory Stock Tracking & Auto Decrement, The Clover does not add returned items back into the stock quantities. This is causing inaccurate stock counts.
Example:
Business has 10x bottles of water currently in their inventory, and sells 1 bottle. New current Inventory is now 9 bottles of water. But if the customer returns the bottle of water, the current inventory is still 9 Bottles. The business owner will have to fix it manually, by going into the inventory app, finding the product, and update the quantity. We are asking that a software update be made…

Hide Specific Categories During Serving Hours
Allow merchants to have the option to hide an entire category from the register during a specific period of time. The merchant does not want the employees to see the lunch special category at all in the register outside of lunch hours and vice versa for dinner hours or breakfast. This could be an enhancement for the Happy Hours app or a newly built app altogether.

Increase the maximum number of items in a category beyond 1000.
Increase the maximum number of items allowed in a category beyond 1,000. Suggest 10,000. We have to create sub-categories as a work around. An inventory file cannot be imported with a category item count above 1,000.

Separation for EBt non taxable and Taxable
Merchants would like to be able to process EBT non taxable and non EBT taxable on the same transaction and the clover device separate the two. Would like for the clover device to leave the balance for the non EBT items. This will not work as they need to make it to where when ringing up items from both EBT/Non EBT, for the Clover to differentiate those (somehow). Meaning, they want for that EBT customer, once using their EBT card, to only be able to pay for the items that are under the EBT umbrella (nontaxable), not the whole order…

Easier way to reorganize modifiers on each item to create an easy flow when customer places order. Master list too complicated
Using The Reorganize Modifiers master list is complicated. When each inventory item is set up, we should be able to select the specific order of modifiers for each item for an easy flow, and thus less scrolling up and down, on the clover dining app. This is important when using the Clover Flex as there is too much wasted time scrolling up and down to find pertinent modifiers. I have even tried using a numerical system to override the alphabetize system, and it doesn’t necessarily work all the time. Each inventory item has a unique flow when placing an order…

Need Ability to Adjust / Sort order of Items and Modifiers in dashboard
Once an item is keyed into a category the order can't be adjusted. Likewise with Modifiers. Many Merchants prefer to organize by most popular or alphabetically but they currently only display in the order keyed.

inventory of modifiers
I need to be able to have inventory of the modifiers not just the item. For example I need to know I have 20 small, and 40 Large size in the same shirt, not just that I have 60 shirts available.

negative inventory count
PLEASE BRING BACK NEGATIVE INVENTORY! For in-person businesses like grocery and liquor stores that have a lot of inventory turnover it is very impractical to no longer have the negative inventory functionality. I often am not able to immediately update inventory immediately after receiving new items, so without the negative inventory function it is VERY hard to keep accurate inventory numbers. I spoke with someone on the phone who suggested purchasing an inventory app, but I am pretty upset about the prospect of paying for a function that I used to have access to for free. Very disappointed. Would not…
