Taking Payments

There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Virtual Terminal: Provide all feedback on the Virtual Terminal in this category. How can we make this solution more useful for merchants?

2. Refunds/Exchanges: If you have any feedback on Clover’s refund or exchange functions please let us know here.

  1. Create orders from dashboard and save as 8.5x11 .pdfs.

    Ability to create and print orders from the dashboard to .pdf or straight to an external letter-size printer.

    Merchant takes orders over the phone, prepares their order, emails or prints out the order as a quote on a letter size sheet of paper, and has it ready when they customer comes to pick up the order.

  2. When taking new payment for customer with new card the 'save card to customer' does not replace old card

  4. Fraud Tools (AVS)

    An option to 'Automatically void a transaction if' Street Address and/or Postal code does not match. (No Workaround)

    VT Fraud Tools has it separated between two options.

  7. Fix bug for month autofill on chrome checkout

    When autofilling a MM/YY on chrome in clover CC checkout, 10/25 autofills as 01/25.
    I have to manually correct the input every time this occurs.
    This has happened on multiple sites using clover so it seems to be a clover issue. MM/YY Autofill works on other sites without issue.

  8. Virtual terminal to have an option to enter the tax amount instead of percentage fee

  9. change the virtual terminal search box back to the way it was

    Please change the virtual terminal customer search box back to the way it was so I can see multiple different customers at one. This new update or change that happened a few weeks ago allows me to see the first one and then when I scroll I am only able to see in between two. I have already contacted your support team who told me they can help me. PLEASE CHANGE THIS BACK ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THE CORRECT PERSON.

  10. Tags for each type of payment: Virtual Terminal, Device, Invoiced and Report for outstanding invoices

    When looking at reports there is only a tag for virtual terminal transaction but there is not one for invoiced paid transaction therefore I one has to go one by one to see which ones where in device and which one was an invoice. There is also no way to see outstanding invoices.
