Partial refunds
The merchant needs to be able to partially refund incorrect orders before the settlement/batch. If an employee accidentally adds an item to the order, the current method is to void the transaction and do it again. This is not convenient for the business.

Right now merchants who do not ring in multiple items do not have a partial refund option without needing to re-enter in full card information. This is a complaint that has come up several times among several different merchants operating in separate industries.

Issuing manual refunds on Clover is near impossible with our business. If a customer comes in without a receipt or we're unable to pull up in orders, and we still want to let the customer exchange the item for another or issue store credit back onto gift card... there's no way to
1) scan the item for manual refund - so system knows what item is coming back into inventory or assign it to a generic category for accounting purposes.
2) refund a partial amount (say it was part of a bogo 1/2 off sale)Please help Clover!

Hi, I'm returning/refunding a customer for a customer who does not have their receipt. I'm literally having to use a calculator underneath our clover terminals in order to tally the total refund for product price and tax. Why can't I issue a simple refund assigned to an item as if it were in the register. We are a retail establishment and are baffled as to why the return process is so limited and therefore, confusing to the merchant. Please allow for partial refunds as well. Thank you.

Currently there is not an option to refund a credit card payment without deleting the order at the same time. This is a problem for a restaurant because the whole order has to be re-entered and fired to the kitchen.

Partial refunds need to be permitted. I manage a skin care salon and would like to partially refund a tip that was set too high by mistake, as clients tap on the" tip "screen without realizing the % they tap on will apply to the entire transaction, even on products. I do not want to rip off my clients: when I spot a mistake of that nature, I should be able to correct the mistake by issuing a partial refund from the terminal before my client even realizes she overtipped when she gets her cc statement..

My FLEX terminal is basic: it bundles services with product sales, so that when a client is presented with the tip screen, she does not always realizes that if she taps on "20%", il will apply to the entire transaction. I do not want to rip off my clients (it is bad for business!) so I think introducing a way to issue a partial refund on that transaction before the batch is closed is a discreet way to correct a mistake before the client gets her cc statement and goes bonkers -or never comes back out of embarrassment or for fear of being taken advantage of.

Allow multiple tax rates to be added to a partial refund so reporting shows refunded amounts for multiple tax rates

Merchant is requesting for a feature that allows them to make adjustments to an Order after it's been paid. After a customer pays for an Order and Discount is applied, if they want to return an Item or change their mind on couple of Items, there is no way to complete a partial refund for those items on the Orders app.
