Not having the ability to set a suggested $ amount is a deal-breaker for many small ticket merchants.

Updating the tip selection to include dollar suggestions would mean my employees earn more in tips. When one buys a coffee for $2.75 they are not going to want to think what 20% of $2.75 is. I've been asking for this to change for well over a year. I'm so glad see other clover users speaking up! Keep voting folks!

Many merchants move over to Clover from Square. Square allows whole dollar buttons for the tip entry screen but Clover only allows percentages. Many merchants have asked for it and are very disappointed when they learn that it's not an option

Merchant would like the dollar value for the tip amount to show on tablet screen when selecting a percentage tip.

Merchant says that when presenting an order to a customer to pay on screen on the Mini the Clover use to show the tip amount along with the tip percentage. Now, apparently after an upgrade it no longer shows the tip amount, only the tip percentage.

Offer the option for a standard dollar amount tip versus just the traditional %.

I'd like to have an option for someone to just tip $5.

I have accounts turn on tips and turn off suggestions. Goes to "No tip" - "Custom tip"

Allowing terminal to have tip suggestions to set option for $ amount and not just % amount for some business like my own that don’t handle cents in transaction (hair salon, nail salon...)

Smart Tip Amounts
When Smart Tip Amounts is turned on, tipping works as follows:

If a transaction is less than $10, the available tipping options are: No Tip, $1, $2 or $3.
For a transaction $10 or more, the available tipping options are: No Tip, 15%, 20% or 25%.
Custom Tip Amounts
Enabling percentage amounts allows you to set three custom amounts, which you can adjust at any time. To create custom tipping amounts:

Tap Set Percentage Amounts within your tipping settings.
Tap each amount field to enter your custom percentage.
To allow your customers to enter a tip amount of their choosing, toggle Allow Custom Amounts to on.
