adding serial number
Our sales are mainly retail electronics and each item beside the UPC and Sku at time of selling we have to add a serial number of the same UPC. A unique serial number to track warranty plans when they come back for repair.
We do not find any field to add product serial number at the time of sale. It will be great to add a field and enable scanning the barcode of the serial number in that field.
As a temporary solution, we are adding manually the serial number at the notes field for each transaction. But it's hard…1 vote -
Online product pictures populating when adding product to merchant inventory
Merchant has requested that when adding products into inventory, the screen automatically populates an online photo of the product as reference along with the UPC and Name of the product.

old inventory version
You should really offer people to use the old version for the inventory, looking to switch out of Clover because the new version is unfortunately horrible for me to use for my business.

CREATE A MIDLEVEL SUPERVISOR/ MANAGER USER
Please consider a history or login trail to see any deleted orders.
For the case of duplicate orders this feature is necessary to complete orders, but it an order is deleted and there was no duplicate order this needs a trail to make it searchable and maintain the owner's money trail.

Remove access to custom items
Removing custom items or allowing the admin to restrict this would help cut down on employee theft.

Option to NOT have a default Order Type
Currently order types force you to choose a default. I would like to have the option to not have a default order type so that the cashier is forced to choose, thereby minimizing errors being sent to the kitchen.
For example, if the default is "Dine In" it's too easy for a drive thru order to get mislabeled if the cashier forgets to choose Drive Thru as an order type. This causes wasted food and/or wasted packaging.
No need to make it complicated, just need an option to NOT have a default order type so that cashiers are forced to…

Ability to do an exchange from the dashboard
We would like to be able to process an exchange from the DASHBOARD. Right now, you can do an exchange only from the clover device, but not the online dashboard.

Remove reserved products from sellable inventory
We are a bakery, and we receive many call-in reservations for product orders that will be paid for at pick-up. We need a way to place the unpaid order, remove the required products from inventory so they can't be sold again, then close the order out when it is paid. Does this feature exist somewhere and we are just missing it?

2022 Inventory Release - make Item Tracking fields avail in Item Basics
I manage a Retail Inventory were almost every item (over 48,000) has a Product code and/or a SKU. Please add these 2 fields to the Item Basics portion of the Add/Update screen so that we do not continually have to open sub-menus to access. You can add these after the Taxes & Fees field so that users who don't need these fields can easily ignore them.

Printed items based on where they are rung in
for labels, every item has the ability to be printed to a BAR printer. We need the ability to have something print dependent on what device it was entered on. For example, a drink entered by a waitress needs to print at the bar, however, that same drink entered by a bartender (that will make the drink) does not need it to be sent to the BAR printer. This would avoid confusion, and things being made twice unnecessarily

Add a drop down on the inventory app
Make so you can set individual permissions on the Inventory App so I can set view only for my employees.
I have seen them over right scan codes while doing price checks.

Inventory apps on Clover Dashboard
When in inventory trying to look up and item, we need to be able to not only type item name but have a subfield search for "category" like in the past to narrow down the search to a more specific Category as some items come in a coaster a magnet or let's say a notecard That is very important for me as I am trying to re-order magnets only and I see all the items from this vendor mixed up as it shows too many

Inventory Changes
The update that was done recently has made adding inventory to our system incredibly difficult. We are no longer able to add labels through our desktop and have to go to a different device in the store to add them into each item. We also cannot search for labels anymore and are only able to choose from about 50 predetermined printer labels and if the one we need isn't there, we have to go to a different device in our store and again add it manually. This update is horrible and our faith in Clover's abilities to fulfill our businesses…

Retail Inventory - Show in register,
Please allow inventory items that have a barcode to be scanned into the register app even if the "show in register" box is unchecked.
It would be nice to able to have inventory items that have barcodes in the background and not show on the the register app. I have hundreds of items in my inventory that have barcodes that I do not want to show in the register app categories because it looks to cluttered, however I still need them to ring up in the register app when scanning the barcode.

Condensing Multiple Line Items when Firing
If a customer orders multiples of an items that need to fire to a specific printer, I need to manually select the printer for all items. For example, if a customer orders 13 California rolls, I will need to select Sushi Bar on my printer label 13 times for every California roll that needs to be made.
Can we please condense this so you can pick the quantity needed to be fired to a specific printer. Obviously this will need to be limited by the quantity ordered.

Import overwrite or add-to qty
When importing an inventory spreadsheet, provide the choice of adding the quantity to existing count or over-write. Right now, it over-writes existing qty in stock, so if I have 2 left and order 6 more, the imported report will change my qty to 6 rather than 8. I don't know why anyone would over-write, but there may be a reason so please offer the choice.

item cost as a percentage of sale price
Allow for item cost to be set as a percentage of sale price. ideally on both an item specific level as well as a general level or based on category or label. I buy and sell
hundreds of trading cards of which there are hundreds of thousands and trying to make a new item on the fly for a card that I may never sell again just so my profit margin sheet is accurate is impossible. TOTAL NUMBER OF ITEM SHOULD BE PRINTED ON RECEIPT. AS IT HELPS IN PACKING THE FOOD MORE ACCURATELY.
Total number of item should be calculated and printed on receipt as it helps in packing the food more effeciently and accurately.
