Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  4. is there anyway we can disable In-store Pickup and only set for
    Curbside Pickup when using the online ordering app

  6. When using the scheduled order feature, create a threshold with an extra prep time buffer or alert for larger orders. Concern is that with the order ahead functionality, restaurant may not see the large order in advance to adequately prepare and/or disrupt the day's production line.

  7. Merchant requested to edit the time frame/wait time provided to customers for an order made through COLO, advised that by default provides a prompt of 40mins to be prepared, he said that won't work for his location as he has to many customers and sometimes need an hour depending on the amount of orders and customers in queue.

  8. Every item in Inventory should have a simple checkbox to specify whether it is available for online ordering or not. Not all items in inventory are necessarily available for online ordering so there should be an option to include or exclude them from the online menu.

  9. Merchant requests an inventory control feature for COLO so when they are out of a particular item it automatically stops letting people order it, so there is no overlap from the time they sell out to the time they uncheck it as current offering.

  13. Please give an option to update the logo on the online ordering above the business information.

    That makes things easy for the customers to find the right restaurant they are irdering

  14. Merchant wants to be able to have a QR code for the customers to be able to order and pay there without asking all the info that it requires, as in phone number and the captcha security.

  15. COLO - merchant operates from 11:30pm to 3:30am, COLO doesnt allow the merchant to set the end time for 3:30am, a message appears saying
    "End time cannot be earlier than start time", can something be implemented where merchants have total control of the operational hours at this time changing the hours for the time frame could be the a workaround but that creating an extra tasks for the merchant at the end of the day

  16. Client would like to be able to have the option to modify a separate Order receipt for online ordering. E.G: would be to be able to remove stuff like the customers email on the Colo receipt and only keep the necessary stuff to make the order like the name of the customer and where it's going to be sent, and maybe the phone # of the customer they would also like to make the receipt smaller only for online orders, they would also like to make only the date smaller on the receipt to save paper

  18. So I just ordered food using this app and NOWHERE says when it's going to be ready. No idea if it'll be 10 mins or 30. That's a really important feature IMO. I had to call the restaurant and ask them when my food will be ready, which is inconvenient.

  20. Request to add quantity amounts to every order put in, as well as, the ability to create/customize orders. his shop sells donuts and he wants the customer to be able to 'build' the donuts (base, toppings, &icing)
    merchant is also wanting to add pictures to online ordering
