Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. Currently, if a customer goes to Clover online ordering and cancels the order, the $0.00 order ticket will stuck in the order app and cannot be deleted, which is cluttering the list. Please add an option to delete or archive these cancelled orders from the orders app.

  2. We are a Restaurant and we offer our customer discounts when they order online thru our website (instead Skip or Uber). But there is no option on Clover online ordering where we can do such. With our current online ordering platform we could issue a Coupon code and Customers could use that Code at checkout. Also that code will only work if customer spend more that X amount.

  5. Please implement Happy Hour feature on Colo. Currently, the happy hour discounted items do not apply to the Colo

  6. In the orders app you can view all orders open or closed. When you click on an order you have a couple of options you can do. You can add a payment, re-open the order, combine the order with another one, etc.

    It would be an excellent feature if we could DUPLICATE AN ORDER here as well. For example, some of my merchants will have huge orders that get placed on a monthly basis so it would be nice if they can pull up the customers previous order and simply duplicate it so they dont have re enter the order…

  7. Looking for when you put in an address it will tell you if it is within your delivery range.

    ex: If I use a 3 mile radius, and you call and you are 4.5 miles away, then I ca have the option to override and bring you a delivery or just say no.

    ex: Ability to draw on a map ( like google map) where a delivery range is, and if the address inputted is outside of it we won't deliver.

    reason: not everyone knows geography around and want to eliminate having to drive "to far" for a delivery.

  11. My website uses Clover for online ordering. It would be very helpful to add customization in terms of pictures, logos, etc. to that specific page to make it more unique to each website owner. If there's any possible way for this to happen, please let me know as I would like make my ordering page more lively or at least have my logo set up on there

  12. Please add a feature for customers to pre-order by a specific time that is more than 90 minutes. We require pre-orders a day in advance (due to production time). So a feature saying customers MUST order by a certain time/date would be required for us to utilize online ordering. And, having a requested pick-up time option would also be great.

  14. There is no way currently for a merchant using Clover Online Ordering to change the order that the menu categories show in. It would be great to be able to drag and drop these to change the "Layout" in the Online Ordering setting pages... just like it can be done within the inventory app for the category layout shown on the Register/Clover Dining screen.

  15. Make online menus able to be day-parted. We would like to make breakfast items available for ordering at different times than lunch items.

  16. Hi,
    In the clover Online Ordering System below Options are not there and I think they will help
    1. Search Bar - To check the Menu Item.
    2. Pay @ Store - If the customers wanted to pay @ Store.
    3. Pay by Cash @ Store - If the customers wanted to pay by Cash @ Store.

    Pls check the above options which will help customers to a great extent.

  17. Clover app says there is an option to order ahead, but it will not allow ordering ahead outside of hours of operation, which is the whole point of ordering ahead to schedule order for pickup during open hours. However, accessing the online store through a web browser does have the appropriate/expected functionality at all times allowing scheduling of orders for future days/times. This is very confusing to my customers losing functionality when using the app vs. the web browser. The app needs to allow the same functionality for ordering ahead that is offered in the browser.

  18. When making online orders (as a customer), order items get saved to the history. But the order changes. An example - from a local taqueria:
    - Bean and cheese burrito
    - Add guacamole
    - No salsa fresca
    - Bean and rice burrito
    - Add guacamole
    - No salsa fresca
    - Carne Asada Burrito
    - Add guacamole

    becomes

    • Bean and cheese burrito
    • Add guacamole x3
    • No salsa fresca x2
    • Bean and rice burrito
    • Carne asada burrito

    This makes it impossible to simply reorder. It would be helpful if the items stayed the way they were ordered. (I do appreciate them being…

  19. Merchant is requesting the old update for clover dining because the employees are ot seeing their name on the tables , when merchant make the table bigger we can see the employee name but because merchant have a big restaurant and a lot of tables we are not able to keep all the tables at a big size .
    please allow the employee name to show on smaller table sizes like it use to

  20. We operate a Foodtruck at multiple locations. When customers are scheduling orders for a particular day and time, there needs to be a dropdown that allows them to select a location for picking up their food. Currently, the system defaults to "In-Store Pickup" and that confuses customers because our "Home Business" location is not where we serve from.
