Better notification when order is not printed
Network isue or any other issue when kitchen printer is offline and order is not printed in the kitchen. Notify on the main screen so that it is easier to identify issue. Right now notification is on notification bar which is easily missed.

Automated coursing timer
Merchant would like to have an automated timer for the coursing feature.

We should able to set many prices for each menu items.
One menu item can have various prices base on where it gets ordered. If it gets ordered from Chownow, it may have different price than ordering directly to restaurant. Each menu item can have price#1, price#2, price#3, .... price#10. When this item maps to different menu, we can see which price we want to use on that menu. This way, we don't need to duplicate the same menu for each 3rd party vendor and easy to maintain in the future. Just open the menu item and you can see/modify all prices.

Third Party Ordering Check Box, in addition to "On POS" or "Online"
We need a 3rd Party Ordering Check Box so we can have a separate Inventory/Menu, in the INVENTORY>ITEMS submenu so that we can price DoorDash etc independently, from our POS or our own Online Pricing

Cant see which servers are working which tables anymore
Recently I cant see which server has opened a table. Neither can the server. Causing the wrong tables to closed out. Told to edit the floor plan and make the tables larger. our floor plan wont allow for us to make the tables any bigger than they already are. Tech support is blaming the latest update. Can you please fix.

void option in Clover Dining
Merchant would love an option to void an order once it has been fired to the kitchen, as they encounter issues from time to time with items in an order that need to be removed from the records

Be able to have Categories then Sub Categories, then Items, then Modifiers when Entering Restaurant Menu
Most other POS systems I've worked with do this. For example, I want my staff to be able to choose Alc Drinks as the category, have the sub category options be Draft Beer, Bottled Beer, WIne, Mixed Drinks, then Items be the list of bottled beers etc optional so that way I can still input cost and it will track, but also be able to make and assign modifiers (helpful for mixed drinks).

Add a hold buttton so servers are able to hold particular items for a specified amount of time.
We used Smile POS previously and decided to switch over to Clover because we are able to take payment directly at the table and front door (COVID-19) idea. But since using Clover over the past 2 weeks there are so many moe options from Smile that am finding that I miss. The ability to move single items between tables, holding items button, being able to split a check once the order was created and print the bill for each person to see prior to payment.. Im sure Im gonna have more so Ill need to come back here and post…

Default order type should be T0-GO for non-table order
My restaurant has Dine-In (default), To-Go, and Delivery order types. When making non-table order, we some times forget to select "To-Go" order types and the kitchen will mess up customer orders. This happens a lot because the server had already selected To-Go non-table order.

Full category selection
The Happy Hour App recently changed so now you can select items. However now if you want the entire category you have to go in and select ever item if you add a new item you have to go in to every happy hour special with that item you need to discount and select it. the option to do category or item would be great.

Bar Tab Auths for Canadian Merchants
I am a Canadian Merchant and I have several clients who have asked about having the Bar Tab Auths application made available in Canada.
They would like the app to include an auto close out in case the client leaves without closing off their tab (forgets to close tab / skips out).

Simplify moving items from whole table to guests
moving items from the whole table to guests is a lengthy process on Clover . It is not possible to do it on one screen as the system keeps jumping back and “ … + move items “ which are 2 extra clicks per guest have to be clicked to move items to each guest.
Solution for this :
Adjust Clover settings so items can be moved to all appropriate guests on the same screen wthout jumping back to whole table screean.5 votes -
Create subcategory or different menus option
It is incredibly difficult operating a restaurant that has two menus (i.e. a lounge menu / lunch menu and a dinner menu) because you are limited to category and then items as the next level in the hierarchy. Most customers are using category 1 as lunch and category 2 as dinner, but then there's no option for subcategories (i.e. Lunch category - Soups & Salads subcategory - Clam chowder soup item). The entire system becomes messy and there are implications of trying to do Category Lunch, Item Soups & Salads, and Modifier Clam Chowder Soup.

Being able to change the layout on the kitchen printer
I want to be able to adjust the layout on the kitchen printer. For example i want to be able to print Hamburger first and then move the combo next to it and then underneath the selections i.e no onions no lettuce etc.

Allow guest seating without having to add an order
We currently have a host that seats guests, with waiters/waitresses coming afterwards to take orders. We would like to have the option in Clover Dining to show that the guests are seated without having to take an order. If you select a table for seating, and add/remove/leave default the number of guests that are seated there, and if you go back to the floor plan screen, it releases the table. This is very confusing for everyone when there are guests seated that don't have any orders yet, and they do no show up on the floor plan, only as empty…

Better way to attached a credit card to a guest for bar tabs etc.
Our biggest setback with bars/restaurant's with reception venues is the ability to keep good bar tabs. Competitive POS systems allow for a quick scan of the credit card to open and create the tab and then run the total at the end of the night in the event the customer is a flight risk to leave out on their tab. How can we make this better for those businesses?

Would absolutely LOVE color coded tables for sections
Would be helpful to be able to highlight or color code tables on the dining room set up to help servers know what section is there's.
