Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. Allow managers to assign tables to a server/employee in Clover Dining. In conjunction, provide the ability to cash out a server/employee and assign the tip to the original server.

  6. The ability to edit the physical size of the table, such as making it smaller. The option to draw lines to separate the sections of the rooms to mimic the layout of the floor plan. Also having the ability to edit the floorplan on the Web Dashboard and customize the tables with different colors.

  7. Merchant would like a way to apply discounts to COLO orders the way they can on the device. The merchant has a promotion running that they can use on the device but online orders have no way of taking advantage of the discount

  8. I need to be able to have inventory of the modifiers not just the item. For example I need to know I have 20 small, and 40 Large size in the same shirt, not just that I have 60 shirts available.

  11. Our customers have continuously requested an option to add pictures to the online ordering so they know what they're ordering, such as Uber Eats, Grubhub and so on.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback. Look for an update shortly to replace some of the functionality you’ve mentioned. Once you apply the update, please let us know what you think. We have great plans for the development of the Clover Dashboard app, and will release updates regularly. In the meantime, you can access all the previous functionality by logging in to your account at clover.com/dashboard/login.

  16. Hello clover, we are very angry that you are forcing us to use the 2 factor authentication. There are two of us that use the clover dashboard and we both have a computer that we use. There isn't cell service up here where our business is so cell phones cannot be used. After numerous calls, being on hold over and over again and transferred over and over again I finally got someone that could tell me about the authentication app. So I installed the app on both computers but can only get it to work on one computer and it…

  17. Hit Repeat Round Button in Clover Dining, select Printed Drinks, and all the same modifiers, under multiple guests, Pop up stop screen, are you sure you want to repeat? Done. Adds to respective guests. This could also be used for All You Can Eat nights. Bottomless Sides, etc.

  18. The new Dispute tab is great! we no longer need to go on business track directly to supply the evidence, instead we can do it straight on clover.

    However please add it under permission so that we can give access to our dispute team to respond the the chargeback. Currently we had to give our full admin login to them in order to have access to that tab, you can imagine the issue having to give the full login to them without any restrictions to other reports and info on the dash.

  19. Currently gift cards can only be used in person. There is no option to use digital gift cards online. We are curbside only right now so customers cannot use gift cards. Customers should be able to input digital gift cards online.

  20. Have the stock tracking and limitation for Online Ordering, therefore if an item it out of stock it will hide on the online ordering to prevent customers from selecting that order.
