Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. Currently the only way we can assign items to revenue classes is to add the item to the revenue class which is messy & not very well organized. It would be nice to have the ability to assign an item to a revenue class from item maintenance. This would also help insure that items are not being excluded from revenue classes when used.

  2. My daughter and I share the bookkeeping job. When she is here, she has trouble signing in at times as it sends the security code to my phone. If I am not near my phone she is out of luck. Can we have two cell phones to receive from so she can pick hers. Thank you

  3. I think it would be useful to have the option to "Remove Taxes From Order" permission assigned to groups of users instead of all users.

  4. I need to be able to enter 20 items and have the receipt show 20 items, the individual cost, and the subtotal. Not just 20 items and subtotal. Customer needs to know how much they paid per item (tree) and not have to do the calculation. Only other option is for the same item to show up 20 times on the receipt, which is hard to count.

  5. Allow tables to be assigned to a "section" and allow a section to be assigned to a server.

    This would allow a Host/Hostess to easily see how many tables are occupied for a specific server. They will be able to make sure tables are spread out between servers more evenly.

  6. It's been a long time since this bug was introduced and even though I'm not an expert on software engineering it seems like such a basic simple thing that is bugging a lot of customers that is hard to believe it would take weeks to fix.

  7. I would like to suggest that the clover software update have an option to allow duplicate printing on the order printers. It would be helpful because when we send an order to the kitchen, we need the kitchen printer to have two copies printed, one for the chefs and one for the expos.

    Right now, we have to send the original order, then resend by going into the orders app. This is time consuming during rush hours.

  9. Online ordering with clover only has the options for Pick-up, Curbside Pickup, Delivery and Dine in. A custom order type would be amazing so we can customize an order type the way we can do it for the clover stations! For example having a Sitting at Woodrow’s order type.

  11. Items to have a restriction times to be available for sale as an example, cookies to add time from 2pm to 4pm and to automatically not to show available after 4pm to be erased from items. Customers don't see it available after 4pm.

  12. The minimum go to sleep/ screen timeout is currently 15 s, it would be nice to add 5s and 10s options.

    Merchants trying to avoid servers seating tables for other servers who forgot to log out or server seat table based on whoever used system last and is still logged in.

  14. Some merchants don’t like if Order receipt fired to Kitchen has items divided by guests if the order is entered per guests. Merchants like to have the order printed without guests break down even if they key in the order per guest initially in dining.
    It would be useful if a parameter can be added to the order receipt setting to enable or disable items divided by guests to be fired to the kitchen printer.

Respected Clover Development Team, We would like to request small customization on the Register screen which will be a huge help and will create a great impact on the Liquor Store industry to use Clover POS in their stores. Currently, the Liquor store industry needs an advanced cloud-based POS to increase their growth and better manage their stores. Clover is the best most advanced and easy-to-use POS system in the market for retail stores.

  18. Restaurants that serve alcoholic drinks are not able to use scan to order with any level of efficiency. Adding this ability for scan to order only should be available. I have many merchants who want to use scan to order in their restaurant but are not because of this limitation.

  19. The highest valued integration parameters would be:
    - Clover Dining Station ability to allow an employee at fine dining restaurant to pull a reservation from HostMe and seat them at a table in Dining application.
    - Send the data back to HostMe to show that the client was seated and showed up for their reservation and dined for X hours and minutes based on when the table is closed in Dining Station
    - Sync customer data between HostMe and Clover - 2-way if possible.
