Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  2. Hit Repeat Round Button in Clover Dining, select Printed Drinks, and all the same modifiers, under multiple guests, Pop up stop screen, are you sure you want to repeat? Done. Adds to respective guests. This could also be used for All You Can Eat nights. Bottomless Sides, etc.

  5. Refired tickets in Clover Dining does not show deleted items.

    The system Refires the remaining items a second time. This can create duplicate orders when a kitchen is busy. The kitchen does not need to see the items that were fired the first time. They need to see the item(s) the server is deleting.

  6. For merchants who own or operate multiple locations, it would be nice to have the ability to see reporting for those locations on one dashboard. Love all of the reporting options today (Total payments, by item, by employee, taxes, etc.) but would like to have that information aggregated across all of my locations somewhere.

  7. The new Dispute tab is great! we no longer need to go on business track directly to supply the evidence, instead we can do it straight on clover.

    However please add it under permission so that we can give access to our dispute team to respond the the chargeback. Currently we had to give our full admin login to them in order to have access to that tab, you can imagine the issue having to give the full login to them without any restrictions to other reports and info on the dash.

  8. In the Tables app there should be a permission setting to restrict servers from un-claiming a table after it has been claimed. Currently, a server is able to un-claim a table and assign it to another server without the other server's knowledge. This is a huge concern for many full-service restaurants with server banking.

  9. The focus of a customer's online ordering page shouldn't be Clover's own branding and color scheme (imo). The Top banner has CLOVER with a giant GREEN banner. Green is NOT a good color for restaurants, and again, the focus should be on the customer brand/logo and the Clover name should have a reduced profile. It's about the customer. Make the BG color white, the Clover text black/neutral. This is small change but I think it's emotionally impactful for new merchants who see this page for the first time. The look, feel, and emotional resonance of our OLO, is falling short…

  10. Merchant request function to be added where in additional to inventory stock Clover also tracks the usage of food or liquid by ingredients.

  13. On the Clover Dining app, we need the ability to HOLD an item from ever getting printed in the kitchen. Sometimes, we rush into the kitchen to get the item or had already asked verbally the kitchen staff to make it, we don't want to print it again, hence, we hold it on the POS.

  14. we need something (maybe even in Clover Dining) that a restaurant can use for simple reservations. Clover can do so much at no additional cost to the merchant. Something this basic/simple really needs to also be available

  17. The newest update to the inventory is very difficult to bulk edit multiple items. For example, I have 3k items in my inventory, and I want to delete 500 of them. I have to click through and hit "show more" which only displays 25 items additionally at a time which takes a very long time. This is extremely time consuming and inconvenient. Previously we could select and display up to over 900 items at a time to make changes or edits to. It would be nice to have that option again. This makes it difficult to delete and manage inventory.

  18. Merchant's are requesting the ability to enter a quantity of items to be sold and then have the item show "currently unavailable" when the quantity reaches zero.

  19. We have one main company and 3 different menus for different areas. I can't have my staff scrolling through to try to find the correct menu / item. We should be able to have a main category - subcategories level - and then the items with modifiers.

  20. I process for a growing franchise called Outer Banks Boil Company. We need the ability to INTEGRATE into a WIX website where a customer has the option to "purchase" an item with the option to pay in-store, and leave a tip online. This new integration with WIX should allow complete branding including customization with logos etc, ability to purchase online and the order is received and printed in-store by a Clover POS.
