Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  2. Inventory should be easier. Every year I have to add each item cost up for an Inventory. There should at least be a report we can run. We put cost and retail prices in for a reason.

  3. Hello,
    We have multiple customers request the feature for the kitchen printer.
    We would need a way to group the items in categories together and display in order.
    For example, waiter put coke, egg roll (Appetizer), noodle (main dish) , calamari (Appetizer).
    The Kitchen printer should print in this order:
    -1 x Egg roll
    - 1 x Calamari
    - 1 x Noodle
    - 1 x Coke

    So, the order should be Appetizer first, then main dish, and drink. This option is great to have especially when Kitchen have only one printer. The POS competitors has this option for a long…

  5. I want to suggest add the print order and resend option in the clover dining. Like those in the “Table” app. Right now I only can print bill or resend to the kitchen. Cause I am a sushi restaurant, so I have two printer not just one. It is very inconvenient that I have to get out the app and then reprint the order ticket from the “Order” app.

  6. In Register App: Merchant wants app to show a notification advising when an item is scanned but it's not in the inventory for Employee roles that cannot add items. Merchant explains that in fast-paced retail environments most employees listen for the beep and move on. This notification would help ensure orders are scanned accurately.

  7. The merchant wants to be able to delete an entire Order after the ticket has already been printed out or sent to the kitchen. The merchant does not want to remove or delete the items individually.

  8. Picture this: it's a busy rush. Chef says we are out of GUACAMOLE don't sell anymore! So I have to leave the cash and:
    -go to the office
    -open a browser
    -go to clover.com
    -sign in
    -click on account & setup
    -click online ordering
    -click online menu
    -de-select GUACAMOLE
    And then I need to head back up to the cash where I've been absent for 2-4mins

    This cannot be the way!

    Can we please get an option on the device to do this?

    I can even suggest the placement:
    -Click on Inventory
    -Click on item desired
    -Check box beside 'Show…

  10. Merchant is looking for the inventory to have items that can have modifiers with separate SKUS that will allow each variation of the item to be tracked. Example: (Category- Rings) (Item- Diamond / Ruby/ Emerald ) (Modifiers with individual SkUs )

  15. Bottle/Can Deposits automatically added to selected inventory items

    In most cash register systems, when you sell a bottled or canned beverage that has a bottle deposit, the system can automatically add a bottle deposit (or multiple deposits, for a 12-pack, for example) to the item or order. Clover does not have a way to do this currently.

    You can create custom modifiers and assign them to an item, which is a work-around. However, this is imperfect because it requires additional user interaction for each item (you have to select the modifier and then press done - two extra touches, potential…

  16. Ability to add modifier with a negative amount. This can be used in instances when the modifier decreases the price of the item.
    Example Item has a retail price listed as $80, the modifier would be a wholesale discount -$10.

  18. This is extremely important for retailers when scanning items.
    The clover system only has one sound, a beep, anytime an item scans. The problem is when an item does not have a price attached to it still makes the same beep sound. So if you are scanning multiple items you may miss one. To resolve if item does not have price make a different noise to let retailer know a price has not been logged for this sale item.   20. COVID changed our lives.
    Clover it's a request to add the following features to help us survive.
    1. Ability to modify or add prep time while confirming the order
    2. Text communication with customer regarding accepting and order ready for pick up
    3. Direct partnership for delivery with Doordash or Uber
    4. Use Uber for reference their system is very good, don't need delivery tracking.
    5. Online pool max for not accepting more than what we can handle.
