Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

  1. Clover needs to have its own Time clock reporting s,ystem. In the shifts APP if I want to look at a weeks worth of shifts it does NOT TOTAL up the figures. If I am doing payroll I have to add up all the hours, sales, etc.

    Our customers depend on third parties which is not good. Homebase has increased their pricing, and its malfunctioning in the reporting. My clients cannot get accurate numbers.

    Clover should invest in TIME CLOCK REPORTING charge 4.99 a month for it with server banking and such. Shifts APP already does half of it. If…

  3. items are showing in one category report and not in all categories. if merchant uses the item for multiple categories merchant wants to show the items and all categories

  4. SALES OVERVIEW report BY EMPLOYEE ON DEVICE.
    Merchant has 2 shifts in bar. Would like to have a sales overview report that staff can access from Device to turn in with their paperwork and money at the end of each shift. The report should give a TOTAL that is due. Cash less tips. This is a BASIC restaurant function and one that we can not believe we can not get!!!! Giving all employees access to the dashboard is ridiculous and should not be necessary!!! I believe you should implement this immediately. This will help the sales of this device to…

  6. How do I get a detailed list report of all item sales? I would like to get a detailed list report showing line by line the item, item category, sale date, sale day of week, sale price, tax, tip, payment type, etc.

    This way I could slice and dice the data anyway I want in excel

  8. Ability to generate a Report that shows sales transactions daily and/or weekly (time/date frame adjustable) by Revenue Class AND by Tender Type (cash, check, cc, etc.). Ideally, the report would show an itemized list of transactions for each Revenue Class, by Tender Type. Or, ability to make a Custom Report and select parameters and filters.

  10. Clover already collects the hourly sales data and displays it in dashboard, but only for today. We'd like to see trends in sales by hour of the day. But reporting doesn't allow this feature.

    Would like this report to include filter by revenue class. This way our manual payments for maintenance clients or large projects can be separated from the true retail revenue in the brick-and-mortar store.

  11. Item's cost is averaged because upon the keyed cost for each new in take. Provides a more accurate report of Net Margin & Net Profit.

  12. I had an employee who was clocked in for 10 days. They clocked in on their 1st shift and then never clocked out. They worked a total of 3 shifts in that timespan. I went in to run the report for payroll and found she was currently clocked in. On the dashboard there is only a way to edit existing punches. There is no way to close her shift, or add a clock-out punch then edit it. A function to split the shift would have helped also

    Another work around would be to add an option to set a shift…

  14. On the dashboard you show us net sales for the current day and a comparison to last week. Below that we see the hourly of todays sales. It would be SO helpful if you could also show the hourly sales of the previous day just right on top of the current day with a different color on the graph. It would be great to compare hourly sales from the same day last week.

  15. Need to keep Items that have been deleted from inventory on past Items Sales Reports. You MUST STOP deleting past sales details describing the item that was sold just because we told clover inventory that we are no longer carrying that item(deleted it). Just populating "Sale" as item detail is a big red flag for liquor store. We need to still be able to see item details that were sold in the past even if we deleted the item from our inventory.

  16. Merchant want to have the ability to choose what section of the report to print or have the ability to fully customize the report before the print from the device. I.E the sales overview report: merchant change choose(check box) of what to print from that report like they would like to only see the Net Sales, Taxes, Tips, Gross Sales, Refunds or something like what shows on the transaction app in the Clover Web dashboard:

  19. Need to know how to get a report of my inventory that includes the categories of the items which could be sorted by category to give total value of inventory by category.

    Currently there is an option to export inventory and it contains lots of useful information, but the column for 'Category' is non-existent in the export.

    Business owners / Managers need the ability to track inventory value by category (For example, Beer/Wine, Liquor, General Merchandise, Tobacco, etc.) for tax purposes and other reasons.

  20. Merchants should have the option to take a return or exchange and be given the option to damage out the item and then be able to run a report showing all damaged out items, OR be given the option to simply return an item to inventory.
