Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea. Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. Allow the option to add a guest count at the top of the order receipt, even when no specific items are assigned to individual guests. This helps chefs better plan and coordinate food preparation for table-sharing scenarios.

  2. Printing each individual qr code at a terminal and then scanning them in to a computer to put them on a fancier style seated menu is tedious and relentless work. Others have a native funciton that allows me to download the qr codes themselves as images. this should be a thing. i have 8 veneus and have had to do this 8 times, i will be opening 8 more and to be honest it is sort of a deal breaker not having it

  3. When a server fires their order, rather than the computer closing the table out, but leaving the server logged in and on the dining room floor plan screen, we should be able to turn on a function that logs the server out entirely. When you have 8-10 servers running around and someone forgets to log out, it's easy for someone else to start ringing their order under another person's name. Servers often forget to lock the computer when they're done, so this issue is fairly common.

  4. The ability to send to different bar printers (or not at all) depending on where the item is ordered from, or at specific times. For example on weekend nights, when a secondary bar is open, the drink order could go there for pickup by servers. Or if bartender rings in a drink it doesn't need to print at either bar, and risk being made twice

  5. There was an update to the system last week that removed the ability to hold down on an item to change the quantity. We utilized that option all the time. Now, if you hold down you can change the item availability.
    It would be nice to have the quantity back. Or, at least put a quantity bar at the top of the screen on the handhelds.

  7. When coursing Allow expediters to receive the full ticket immediately, ensuring they can identify dishes that take longer to prepare and coordinate timing effectively, reducing delays and errors.

  8. Merchant would like to be able to change the order type in the Clover dining app. Currently, it only allows the change in the Register app. This can make the order printing process confusing as it shows both the section and order type on the order receipt.

  9. Needs real running timer showing from the table layout for an efficient operation. There are many AYCE restaurants with time limits, currently Clover Dinning app only indicates tables in red at certain preset time and servers need to click each table to check the actual running time or they need to login to web dashboard to check entire tables timer at once. Thank you.

  10. Merchant is requesting table numbers and section name on the "orders' in the ios app, when selecting the button "Orders" it doesn't show, whether its paid or open the description of clover dining isn't synced. The order ID is not useful for them they would rather have the table number and section.

  11. Currently, Clover Dining offers pre-auth for bar tabs, but if the pre-auth is greater than the order total, we have to pre-auth the card again to increment the pre-auth. Authorizations app has this functionality and better yet, once a card is pre-authorized, we can increment it without card present because the authorization is already saved, but it's no help because we need to manage out tabs and tables through Clover Dining.

  12. FSR Merchants are requesting the ability to put Clover Dining in Test Mode for server training. The Register software currently has this capability.

  13. FSR Merchants are requesting the ability to add more non-table sections to Clover Dining. They would like to have separate sections for Bar tabs and To Go Orders. Currently there is only 1 non-table section.

  14. FSR clients need the ability to combine or merge two tables together to accommodate large groups. They need to be able to combine to tables from their dining room layout to make one new table, rending the other unavailable. Example: merge two tables together and auto generate a table # combining the two (A1 + A2 = A1A2). This and the ability to remain in table once firing are required for FSR.

  15. Merchant would like for the names of guests to appear on the seat locations in the Dining app. Example: Seat/Guest1 have an editable field for name.
