Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea. Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. When programming a menu for a full service restaurant. We need Sub Modifiers!!

    Lets say the Item is Spaghetti that comes with choice of soup or salad.

    Right now the modifier has to read: Every kind of soup and every kind of salad option.

    It would be nice if a modifier was able to be programed that said "soup" and then "salad".

    Then SUB modifiers would come up. IF Salad was selected all the salad dressings would be listed in the sub modifier. If soup was selected all of the soup options would come up in the sub modifier.

  2. Would be really helpful to have revenue classes, printer labels, and tax settings driven at the category level instead of at the item level. So any item created within a category would automatically inherit the category's label, tax, and associated settings.

  3. Please FIX the Clover Dashboard MENU ENTERING ISSUES -
    HAVE already escalated and reached out to MANY Support Reps -
    You CANNOT "scroll" down to ALL the fields

    The ONLY way to be able to stay on the adding items page to ADD info ...

    Is to "ZOOM OUT"
    But you have to zoom out SOO far that you cannot see the wording

    Have tried different browsers, laptops and computers _ ALL of my NEW in the past year Customers are havig the SAME issue =

    IS VERY PROBLEMATIC and isw CRITICAL to them managing their menus in a timely…

  4. In the Dashboard on the Items list, please add pages to be able to jump forward further in the alphabetized order so we don't need to scroll all the way down and hit > countless times to get to the latter part of the alphabetized inventory items

  5. Need unlimited amount of Subcategories. And also would like to be able to set up Items in the correct Subcategories on Terminals not only dashboard.

    Templet spreadsheet does import subcategories in correctly when you export and re-import that same report. It puts all Subcategories in Category.
    Needs to add a Subcategory Column on the Items tab.

  6. In the Items list, I would like to change the default columns to suit the way we do business. Currenty, I have to remove unnecessary columns every time I look at a list. If I could check off what I want the defaults to be that would be a huge time savings.

  8. On the items input screen, I would like a field to record the Vendor. It will help my staff when reordering product to be able to see the Vendor name. Also, I need to run reports by Vendor to keep track of sales and stock quantity.

  9. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  11. With the majority of orders coming in from online sources, it is difficult to maintain a good grasp of inventory. My restaurant serves alot of stews which cant be quantified by a number of servings. Being able to have a feature that would allow me to put an item(s) "out of stock" that would pull those items off the online channels (website, delivery companies) for a preset period of time, (2hrs, 4hr, 6hrs, next day) then it would reset to allow them to be available after that period, and easily accessible from the device would be extremely helpful.   12. THE CUSTOM MODIFIER SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO ADD PRICE, SAME AS A CUSTOMER ITEM.
    THEY'RE SPECIAL OCCASIONS WHEN CUSTOMERS ASK FOR SPECIFIC ORDERS THAT AREN'T SET MODS AND ITS EASIER TO RING UP THE ORDER WITH A CUSTOM MODIFIER WITH AN OPTION TO ADD PRICE.

  13. Allow certain items to Sync together…. For example… my client has 5 bottles of red wine, he stated about 4 glasses equals a bottle. On the menu his servers either sell by glass or sell by bottle. We want the option to be able to input 5 quantity on the bottle items but when you sell that same bottle by the glass in a different category,automatically deduct a portion of his choosing (in this case .25) on the bottle quantity category.

  14. This is just a simple idea. When you click and hold and item in clover dining, you should be able to input a number of how many of that item is left and when that number goes to zero, it should grey out and appear as out of stock.

  16. When we are beginning to run low on a product, it would be nice to turn off the item online only. A recent update took away the toggle that could disable the item online and now we can only mark it as out of stock across all menus. We'd like to turn off online first since we cannot clearly communicate low stock to online customers.

  17. Please move move the updating of inventory tracking from the time the bill is paid to when the item is fired to the kitchen. If a restaurant has 5 units and all 5 are fired to the kitchen but not paid for yet a 6th unit could be added to an order even though the item is no longer available to sell

  20. Merchants should be walked through adding an item so they cannot forget to add a modifier or category
