sms text - for online pick up orders from KDS
A merchant has the QR clover online ordering in a food truck space where there many food trucks parked. The facility has their online clover website in their main website. When their customer is using their clover online ordering platform for pick up the clover KDS doesn't send a sms that the order is ready for pick up and Kiosk works. They would like the clover online ordering website hosted by clover for pick up orders to also be able to send sms text like the Kiosk from Kitchen Display

Vibration or Pop up notification when order is ready
Is there anyway to enable a vibration or a pop up on the screen for a server when an order is marked as "ready" or "completed" on the KDS?

Alternating Order Numbers
There needs to be automatic alternating order numbers when using multiple workstations. Setting a prefix does very little when the last two numbers are the same. This cost us time and money to deal with this issue on almost a daily basis. I'm happy with Clover overall, but I cannot recommend to anyone due to this. It's confusing that this is still an issue since all other information is shared between all workstations. Please fix this.

New and Old items need to be organized better on kitchen slips
When a new item is added on to an existing order. The new and the old items should all be on the same slip. the new added item should be highlighted on the top and all the old items should be at the bottom. This way the kitchen knows that the new item is part of the same old order and should be packed together. this is from the prespective of a take out restaurant.

Allow paper Order Receipts to be turned OFF when using KDS
When using KDS, we currently can't turn OFF printing Order Receipts. It either has to be ON (and it shows on the KDS + it prints) OR it is OFF, and it doesn't print or show on the KDS. Please allow paper Order print function to be turned OFF while still allowing the order to show up on KDS. This is really important especially in a QSR environment that does a lot of online orders with 3rd parties but does a lot of in-person pick up. We need to be able to keep the Order Printer function on for online…

Kitchen Printer Chit Customization
I am all in with Clover if I could only adjust the Kitchen Printer Chits. I need a compact and readable printout. Kitchen efficiency is above all else in my casual dining restaurant.
The current order printer setup in the kitchen is too large, too spaced out, hard to read font, and splits items up by table and guests. The kitchen just needs items to make and in the mods in a simple condensed format please.

KDS Check Header Customization
It would be nice to expand the header section of a displayed check/order so that it's more information rich. For example, the order type (For Here or To Go) should go on the first line followed by the customer's name on the following line. There seems to be no one of customizing the header section of a check.

I wanna see the server name in the header of the KDS initially for the ticket? I don't want to have to click on the screen to see the server name.

Order Type Highlights
During Extremely busy periods, line cooks and expediterts have a tendency to not pay attention to order type. Sometimes "To-Go" orders get plated and have to be replated in to-go containers.
If order types could be color coded on the KDS displays, it would help distinguish between order types and minimize plating errors.

Modifiers needs a strike when tapped on KDS and notify front end POS clover
Chef needs the modifiers to be able to strike just like line items when tapped on KDS that notifies the front end POS clover that the food is ready, with noise like "bing bing bing" on all the notification on all the terminals.

Delete All
On the KDS if there is an outage all the orders are on the screen and the owner must go through each order and delete. Be nice to have a delete all button that allows you to delete all if pushed twice rather than going through each order.

Modifier label firing
Really need to have the ability to fire modifiers to specific printers instead of just items. For example someone orders a filet with a side salad and baked potato. The filet goes to the grill printer and the side salad modifier needs to be fired to the salad line. Aloha POS has this ability. The merchant has at least 15 side options and the customer doesn't always order side salad so it would not make sense to attach the item to the salad label.

KDS Modifier Group Names
would be nice to have KDS modifier group names display like the printed receipts. this is especially important for pizza restaurants that need to see modifier group name "left half toppings" and "right half toppings" etc

Allow Kitchen Printing on the Essentials Service Plan
With the recent discontinuation of the Counter-Service Restaurant service plan, some smaller venues still need to print to a remote order printer, but do not have need for online ordering or the full features of Clover Dining as included in the Restaurant Growth plan.

fire online orders to kitchen printer based on pickup time standard preptime
Online orders fire expo tickets and kitchen order tickets immediately when placed even if that is days in the future. This activity requires the kitchen to archive future orders and physically manage order tickets based on pickup time.
Online aggregators are firing orders based on prep time and pickup time making them much more efficient. Any kitchen using kitchen printers and/or 3rd party kds has to stay with the aggregators because of this limitation.

Include Server Name by In-Store on KDS
Please add the Server Name next to "In-Store" on the KDS so we do not have to click into the Order Note every time to see which server is assigned
