Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. I would like to see a way to download a report from the Dashboard of transactions by hour. I use the CloverGo app a lot, but shows total revenue (per location). There is a way to see the number of transactions, but you have to tap 3 times to find that. A separate chart on the Go app or Dashboard would help. I prefer to see (for staffing) the number of tickets/transactions per hour. This report would be able to print daily/monthly to show sales by hour and if I need to adjust staffing.   2. I appreciate that Clover is always trying to improve. I think it would be a great idea if you had a focus group comprised of business owners and sales reps that you present to before making changes. For instance, yesterday you updated the reporting feature and eliminated the total number of transactions. Now the merchant must add the total of credit card, debit card and cash transactions to get the total transactions for the day. Yes, it is available on the web dashboard, but when managers or shift leaders are closing, they do not have access to this information. This…

  3. Hello Clover,

    It would be extremely helpful to have the preparation time setting in Clover automatically add an additional amount of preparation time the merchant can set for online orders that exceed a certain dollar amount.

    For example, lets say the merchant wants to have Clover automatically add an additional 30 mins of preparation time for orders that exceed $100. It would be great if the merchant can edit theses parameters under the "Preparation Time" setting in Online Ordering Dashboard instead of just setting a specific preparation time.

  4. As part of our catering operations, we need the ability to view OPEN Orders that were entered at least 12 months in the past. We’ve been using the Clover system for four years, and until September 2024, we could access all open orders regardless of their age. However, we are now limited to viewing open orders that are 30 days old or less.

  5. I have a problem with KDS and the clover Kiosk
    First the KDS have an issue that if we adjust the size of the text to large or largest we lose the word takeout and dine in with the kiosk orders and it shows just like this ex; (Kiosk..) and the only way to fix it by keep the text on the small witch is hard to see and we are facing the same issue with the due orders so we have dine in and to go order type on the Due, and on the KDS does not show the…

  6. I need to be able to see items sold for a given time (1 week, 1 month, 2 months) on the same report as current quantity on hand in order to accurately order new product. We order beer, wine and liquor every week and need better reporting. I am spending hours to put two reports together when someone with programming skills could easily add this category to the current report.

  7. Make order process quicker for customers that order/pay via QR code. They currently have to enter name, phone, email, then if they select mobile wallet payment such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, they must complete the reCAPTCHA grid. This is all time consuming for a cup of coffee. Thx

  8. It would be great if the Batch Close report could email to more people than just the defined "Owner". In large organizations you have a finance department that needs this info besides the manager that runs things on the daily. Should be a simple request.

  9. When the servers has a refund, only the manager has the power to refund the item, when they look at the report, is not under the server but is shown under the manager who did the refund. I would like to have any type of permission to let the server click refund, then ask for the manager code and then after the refunds is clear, I need them to be under the server report

  10. It would be incredibly helpful to have a report that shows how many items are sold per hour, broken down by product and category. This feature would allow merchants to easily identify their peak sales hours and understand which products perform best at different times of the day.

    With this insight, businesses can make smarter decisions regarding staffing, promotions, and inventory planning.

  11. One for basic menu online ordering and pick up on a day to day basis and one separate and dedicated to ordering online catering orders.

  12. there is a widespread need for a Catering app or catering order functions added to clover. restaurants need the ability to take a catering order from clover inventory items, send that order as a proposal, have the client accept the proposal and partial pay (deposit) or full pay the order, then track food quantity needed, date for preparation, date for pickup or delivery, delivery location, and confirmation. There is NO clover app of function for this, and no really good web-based option either.

  13. ENABLE CLOVER APP MARKET ON CLOVER KIOSK / CLOVER COMPACT.

    The Clover App Market is not available on PHYSICAL equipment Clover Kiosk and Clover Compact. In Puerto Rico we need to download the app IVU CONTROL but because the APP MARKET is not enabled, we can not do download.

  14. Wall mounted Solo options for servers would have allowed us to gain 2 major accounts. They ended up going with xxx because they felt if Clover couldn't accommodate something as simple as a wall mounted server station, then what else are they missing.

I purchased 5 different terminals from Clover including a Clover Kiosk station, flex, duo, and minis only to find out that the pricing for the kiosk items are the same as what's displayed online. We charge different prices for online orders using clover integration with uber, door dash as these third party companies charge a huge cut. I do not understand why a kiosk that is processing orders instore have to be categorized with online orders and not with the pos such as the flex.   16. Assign tickets to the person who originally started the ticket regardless of who runs the credit card at cash out. That way a manager can help cash out customers without worrying about who the tip will be assigned to.

  17. Create functionality to enter future delivery date/time that would work similar to online orders schedule at future time or dates and times. In addition add an interface that shows future orders to facilitate order fulfillment.

  18. There needs to be a way to limit the amount of menu items a customer can order using the online ordering. We have had many problems with customers using online ordering to order large quantity of menu items that would fall more under catering. It really creates a problem both for the customer that expects there order to be ready at a given time and the staff trying to fulfill the order. Also creates a problem when the customer chooses delivery and for any reason the driver cancels the order and that order gets refunded without notice!

  19. It would be extremely helpful if we could define a Start & Stop time for each Day selected when configuring a Daypart.
    If a business is open until 2AM on a Monday, for example, it would be nice to be able to configure a Daypart that extends from 10pm on Monday until 2AM on Tuesday.

  20. Individual Order slips: Can the Kitchen Printer print separate tickets for each item in an order? I know the front counter Epson Sticky Printer has the ability to print 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 for the order. How can the Kitchen Printer be programmed to do the same?
