Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. Hello,

    Currently, there is no ability to generate reports or search for transactions by applicable sales tax. For example, in my Finances>Taxes section, there are a number of sales that apparently have No Sales Tax (0%). We cannot identify which those are, we cannot search by sales tax, etc. It would make a lot more sense to have a Report that is broken down by sales tax.

  2. I want the ability to have the Customer Information show up under the Orders Tab like it did once before. This is very important for when we want to see who we are delivering to without needing to always print the Order or Payment Receipt.

  4. we add additional charge as a "bottle fee" would like the ability to block employees from removing the fee, only a manager should be able to remove,

  5. Is it possible on the order receipt to have Surcharge information available. With a sit-down restaurant without a handheld device, the order receipt is presented to the customer and then payment is taken. Having the transparency to have the surcharge amount on the receipt to show the total after the surcharge, so the order receipt presented to the customer and the payment receipt when surcharge applies alligns

  6. Order receipt DOTTED LINE format option doesn’t work with Star 700 kitchen printer.
    When using the Large Font along with the dotted lines, the dotted lines wrap to two lines instead of only one.

  7. Allow orders fulfillment time to last longer than 1 hour. Half of my tabs disappear, when I switch to fulfillment time from order placement time. And a lot of time is wasted keeping receipts in order.

    Would be much easier if receipts printed in order from fulfillment time, instead of order place time

  8. Hello ~

    My issue is I need a report for my employees end of shift report to print out the number of transactions they had for their shift. This was available before Wed April 24, 2024. The report had the subtotal of all cards (not detailed cards though) and then the tips separately, so the employees had to add these numbers together to get their total of their cards and tips.

    Since the update April 24, 2024, they add together the amounts now, but do not give the number of transactions made so they can count up their physical copies.…

  9. Currently, customers with international phone numbers cannot pay for their order when checking out in Clover Online Ordering. This is especially frustrating when you use the Clover Dining Table QR Codes. They put in their order, get all the way to end to pay, and it stops them, and they have to repeat entire order to a person. Please support international phone numbers for Clover Online Ordering or give us the ability to NOT require phone numbers.

  11. We have a 3rd party running our food & beverage. They need access to enter inventory and pull reports. I'd like to have an option that they have access to just food & beverage categories as opposed to seeing our full facility sales

  12. From the register icon, if you choose delivery the prompt for address and telephone number should automatically pop up. There is never a time that you will choose delivery and not need the address. For restaurants that have younger employees-if they forget to ask for address information it creates big problems to retrieve that information.

  13. The URL's on Clover receipts are so bad. I run into vendors so often that have HTTPS://WWW.NONE.COM/ -- why bother displaying that?!

    Why bother displaying HTTPS://WWW or the slash at the end of the URL?

    Can't it just be "restaurant.ca" or "RESTAURANT.CA" instead of HTTPS://WWW.RESTAURANT.CA/"?

    I've even seen receipts where the URL is split across two lines like this:

    "HTTPS://SOMETHINGCOFFEE.COM
    /"

    There's gotta be a better way. The HTTPS is not essential. The WWW is only essential in RARE situations, as the browser will almost always attempt to add the www if browsing to the TLD doesn't work.…

  14. Assign tickets to the person who originally started the ticket regardless of who runs the credit card at cash out. That way a manager can help cash out customers without worrying about who the tip will be assigned to.

  15. Most other POS systems offer a “pay at store” option for online ordering. I have a lot of highschool students who utilize this function and pay cash. I would like to streamline all online orders through clover, but have not switched for this specific reason.

  16. For Modifier Groups for online orders, we used to have the ability to choose a min/max for specific modifiers. Example: A combo with 3 sides. We can list all the sides, but if a customer wants to choose 2 of the same side (mac & cheese for example), there is no ability to choose 2 mac & cheese, just one of each sides. Can the quantity be adjusted to have a min/max option?

  17. When a server fires their order, rather than the computer closing the table out, but leaving the server logged in and on the dining room floor plan screen, we should be able to turn on a function that logs the server out entirely. When you have 8-10 servers running around and someone forgets to log out, it's easy for someone else to start ringing their order under another person's name. Servers often forget to lock the computer when they're done, so this issue is fairly common.

  18. We would like Owner & Admin users to be able to Delete, Hide or Unpublish POS Menus after they have been Published.

    Not being able to clean up past menus that are no longer in use will lead to staff confusion if they need to manually select a Published menu.

    We have a bar that charges $0.25 more for all drinks on Fridays & Saturdays. We duplicated the Default POS Menu & incremented all prices by $0.25 for their Friday & Saturday Daypart menus.

    On Friday, 6-13-25 the items were not showing up. We had to Duplicate our Friday and…

  19. When the user selects to send themselves an email receipt, HAVE THE DEVICE AND/OR WEBSITE SAVE THAT EMAIL ADDRESS so they don't have to type it in again.

  20. Every morning we audit tips entered in the TIPS app by the staff. This is insure that customers are not over charged by a misentry as well as any tips that maybe left unentered.

    Starting on the business day of 6/10/2025, the app was changed from (trying to work the logic backwards) being sorted by the time the transaction was started which kept sequential descending transaction numbers to a sort by the time in which the transaction was closed. This new sort throws the transaction numbers out of order. This is opposite of the workflow that has been in place…
