Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea. Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. I have customers that orders months ahead because during Chinese New Years I have an insane promotion that because my restaurant is packed with online orders, people always order ahead. In other systems I can set it to allow orders to be ordered months ahead, I wish Clover has this same functionality

  2. With larger parties where an auto added , say 20% tip is added to the bill... Needs to be an option to add that under "TIPS" .

    Currently, the ONLY way to add an auto tip % to large parties bill is by adding it to taxes and fees ...
    BUT it is NOT a "tax" NOR a "fee"

    AND - Doing it as Clover only allows via taxes and fees...

    Means the large table tip auto added "DOES NOT" show up under Employees "TIPS" in "TIP REPORTS" at the end of the day - Makes for missing entering tips…

  3. Ability to choose the appropriate tax for the item at the moment of the transaction ,not by default. Right now we only can program taxes by defaults /items level but if the merchant only use a clover device for payment processing and have different tax rates like in Puerto Rico (City Tax, State Tax, Reduce tax - for certain items) at the moment of transaction they can not choose the tax

  4. In the Items list, I would like to change the default columns to suit the way we do business. Currenty, I have to remove unnecessary columns every time I look at a list. If I could check off what I want the defaults to be that would be a huge time savings.

  6. I need a report that allows me to see the stock count on items. If I could run it by Category, item type, or Vendor (if you would add a Vendor field to the item screen).

  7. The right scroll bar on the Item screen (when you are adding or editing an item) disappeared this week. Can we have it back?

  8. On the items input screen, I would like a field to record the Vendor. It will help my staff when reordering product to be able to see the Vendor name. Also, I need to run reports by Vendor to keep track of sales and stock quantity.

  9. Create a report to list when menu items are Manually turned off and not available for sale.

  11. The sales overview report does not display the device name when a device level report is run. Please add that to the printed report and identify All Devices on the report when that option is selected.

  12. I would like to see clover dining on Clover Go app so my wait staff can take the order at the table and send it directly to the kitchen. That would be an excellent upgrade seeing that it already has the clover dining on it but just to see the tables only.

  13. With the majority of orders coming in from online sources, it is difficult to maintain a good grasp of inventory. My restaurant serves alot of stews which cant be quantified by a number of servings. Being able to have a feature that would allow me to put an item(s) "out of stock" that would pull those items off the online channels (website, delivery companies) for a preset period of time, (2hrs, 4hr, 6hrs, next day) then it would reset to allow them to be available after that period, and easily accessible from the device would be extremely helpful.   14. We need the ability to create a Label printer by Order Type. Natively you have to create an Item level label to send to a certain printer. I want the option to do it by order type. Example: I have a specfic to go station with its own kitchen printer. When my server starts the order, they would select To Go for order type, then the items selected would print at that to go printer. On the other hand, if my server selects Dine in order type, I want those items to go to the dine in station printer. If…

  16. We have Order Numbers set to Manual (cashier enters a number/text for each order), and a recent update made it so that cashiers can no longer hit the check on the android keyboard to bypass the order number: they're now forced to enter something on every order. We have a significant number of simple orders (one soda, etc) that don't require an order number and would like the ability to quickly bypass entering an order number restored.

  17. New update, Clover Modifiers are now all seperate. Have to click each modifier group.

    Use to be able to scroll. Now each Transaction takes and extra 30 seconds. Great to know that clover wants me to lose transactions, and money!

  18. Allow the Clover Kiosk to send order receipts to a connected kitchen printer, even when the cash tender type is selected on the Kiosk.

    Part of the value of the Kiosk is streamling ordering. If an order won't even fire until the order is engaged with on another Clover device, than a part of the utility of the Kiosk is lost.

  19. We want to be able to put a custom gratuity amount or custom percentage which will appear under tips and gratuity and not under service charge. This amount will print on the customer receipt under sales tax it will gratuity and dollar amount.

  20. The ability to route items to the kitchen based on order type. For example, a kitchen that wants to send to go /online orders to a specific printer located in the kitchen and dine in orders to a different printer. This is great for restaurants that have a separate kitchen preparing to go and online orders. Right now, the work around is to create duplicate items, Fries (For Here) and Fries (To Go). Although this works, it makes item reporting and menus more confusing.
