Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc. 

Menu: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

  1. Restaurants NEED "NO" Modifiers ONLY to print in RED

    Currently we are told only ALL modifiers will print in RED

    YET other POS systems businesses are coming off of, allow to CHOOSE what will print in RED on Kitchen Orders ...

  2. Currently the default option is set to condensed reporting, merchant would like an option to have it default to a full report which is not available at the moment.

  3. Clover dining adds no additional reporting to clover. Restaurants need to know:
    1. how many guests they have served
    2. Average turn times of tables
    3. Average spend per guest/table

    All clovers main competitors provide this reporting. The information is there, so why not add a report for it?

  4. All too often servers who are waiting on a table are asked to put an order in to go for them to take with them. There needs to be a way to make an item TO GO on a table order.

  5. For example, customers need to be able to specify how many pumps of a syrup to add to a latte. This is a function on the POS, and it needs to be added to online ordering.

  7. Happy Hour- Having the ability to add a happy hour via the back office and an option to a set price discount. Like Happy Hour Pizza $8.00 set price.

  8. Cmon 10 years, and the Closeout app and what's in finance and deposits are not even close. (STILL).

    Every owner feels like there is foul play since the closeout report total is always different than what appears in the merchant's bank account.

    Please HELP!

  9. INVENTORY NEEDS TO UPDATE THE SECOND A SERVER ORDERS AN ITEM. SO THAT THE SECOND SERVER BEHIND HIM IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE INVENTORY. INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THE BILL TO BE PAID FOR FOR INVENTORY TO UPDATE IN THE SYSTEM.

    RIGHT NOW INVENTORY UPDATES ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER PAYS FOR THEIR BILL.

  11. allow us to add image for the modifier on the kiosk
    and also allow us to download the entire menu and edit on pc.

  12. Allow Admin to enable/disable a staff member to add/remove service charge. While it is imperative to have the system restrict removing the service charge due to operational loss. In certain environments its required to add a service charge at odd hours of the day depending on the order. We need to be able to restrict the addition or removal with the admin code

  13. should be able to increase prices on everything including group modifiers and not just on items,
    also be able to duplicate online menue across locations

  14. New updates do not make logical sense for restaurants. When managing items day to day, there generally is not time to log in to the dashboard, then go through all the steps (9 I believe), just to take an item off. Additionally most employees do not have access to the web dashboard. This creates issues with items being ordered that the restaurant is out of. It would be great if industry professionals were more involved before making changes that will untimately lose merchants.

  15. You recently discontinued the service plan we signed up for, and replaced it with a plan that removed a very important feature. Our servers would hold their cash sales and print a cash settlement report the end of their shift that automatically deducted their credit card tips from the cash they owed us. This was a very important feature we relied on, and you eliminated it right in the middle of a business day, with no warning. I recommend you reinstate this feature as soon as possible, or I'm sure many businesses will find other services.

  16. The terminal allows you to view open order or partially paid orders but not at the same time. You should be able to check off in the filters which items you would like to see.

  18. In the order screen, there is nothing to tell the server which order is the one they are looking for. There is no table number nor anything about the subject matter of the order. If we could add a column stating this information it would be greatly appreciated. If necessary, you could replace the column labeled ID/Notes as these numbers are simply gibberish (no offence intended) to us at this end of your system.

  19. There should be a way or a program that let's you control your POS from a distance. I should not have to physically go into my restaurant to fix some minor issue with my POS that requires a Manager's passcode.

    Please Develop a program that let's me access my POS from a computer outside of my location or wifi connection. If I can connect to CloverGo from my phone, I should be able to connect my laptop to my Pos Solo or Flex.

  20. enable Service Charge if used as auto gratuity for large parties to be part of TIP
    not part of the Service Charges so the total tip server collected can be used to calculate end-of-day server settlement with the house.
