Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. I would like to see a way to download a report from the Dashboard of transactions by hour. I use the CloverGo app a lot, but shows total revenue (per location). There is a way to see the number of transactions, but you have to tap 3 times to find that. A separate chart on the Go app or Dashboard would help. I prefer to see (for staffing) the number of tickets/transactions per hour. This report would be able to print daily/monthly to show sales by hour and if I need to adjust staffing.   2. I appreciate that Clover is always trying to improve. I think it would be a great idea if you had a focus group comprised of business owners and sales reps that you present to before making changes. For instance, yesterday you updated the reporting feature and eliminated the total number of transactions. Now the merchant must add the total of credit card, debit card and cash transactions to get the total transactions for the day. Yes, it is available on the web dashboard, but when managers or shift leaders are closing, they do not have access to this information. This…

  3. I see that this report is now available, however, will it be able to show the total cover counts for past dates? When i click on the report, it just launches me into Clover Dining and shows me the current open tables. I need this report to show me how many total guests we had on specific past dates.

  4. When a printer is deleted as an order printer it will automatically readd itself after the clover goes through a reboot. This is an issue for retail merchants that have no need for an order receipt. Clover Advanced support has informed us that this is not a bug but "a feature" and that this is the way the software is intended to work.
    I fail to see the benefit of the system changing a setting that was intentionally set. Clover needs to revert this as soon as possible.

  5. Please have the Kiosk print orders at the Station Printer. Why is there an additional order printer needed? The Kiosk does not see the Station Printer as an option for Order Printing. Why is that? Can you please have the Station Printer automatically print Kiosk Orders? Without the need of an additional order printer. It really streamline our operation. Otherwise, we'd have to return the Kiosk.

  6. Hello Clover,

    It would be extremely helpful to have the preparation time setting in Clover automatically add an additional amount of preparation time the merchant can set for online orders that exceed a certain dollar amount.

    For example, lets say the merchant wants to have Clover automatically add an additional 30 mins of preparation time for orders that exceed $100. It would be great if the merchant can edit theses parameters under the "Preparation Time" setting in Online Ordering Dashboard instead of just setting a specific preparation time.

  7. It would be incredibly helpful to have a report that shows how many items are sold per hour, broken down by product and category. This feature would allow merchants to easily identify their peak sales hours and understand which products perform best at different times of the day.

    With this insight, businesses can make smarter decisions regarding staffing, promotions, and inventory planning.

  9. Being able to filter by employee when running the sales overview from a station would be very helpful in environments when you cannot always turn off "view all sales activity" for servers and/or bartenders & do lots of paid outs or paid ins.

    Since the Homebase and Shifts reports do not account for Paid Outs and Paid Ins, it would be nice to be able to use the Sales Overview with more flexibility from the ground level.   10. Revenue Class is not currently exportable and there is no way to easily locate items when there are potentially thousands in a given Revenue Class in order to modify them. Also, it would be nice to be able to filter item list by Category

  11. we should be able to eliminate the all item option on the Kiosk because it is a big mistake to have it as a first category on the top of the menu categories on the Kiosk, it is causing a lots of confusing for the customers because it is taking their attention away from the other categories and making them keep scrolling down on the screen especially that the items in the menu is organized alphabetically which causing the items to be spreed out randomly so on flavor of the coffee will be next of the sandwich depending on the…

  13. There was an update to the system last week that removed the ability to hold down on an item to change the quantity. We utilized that option all the time. Now, if you hold down you can change the item availability.
    It would be nice to have the quantity back. Or, at least put a quantity bar at the top of the screen on the handhelds.

  14. As part of our catering operations, we need the ability to view OPEN Orders that were entered at least 12 months in the past. We’ve been using the Clover system for four years, and until September 2024, we could access all open orders regardless of their age. However, we are now limited to viewing open orders that are 30 days old or less.

  15. Allow the option to add a guest count at the top of the order receipt, even when no specific items are assigned to individual guests. This helps chefs better plan and coordinate food preparation for table-sharing scenarios.

  17. Modifier prices and names are the same as the items listed in Items List. Merchant would like the modifiers and items to be completely independent of item list in online menus.

  18. Need a "Server/Food Runner Mode" on multi KDS situation with functionality that ensures orders don't disappear from the server screen when the Kitchen marks an item as ready. Currently, "Expo Mode" doesn't support this feature.

    In this Server Mode, an indicator (e.g., a dot) could appear next to each item to show it has been marked as ready by the Kitchen. When the server touches the item on their screen, it would then be marked as completed on the Server Mode Screen. This would be an ideal solution. Thank you.

  20. One for basic menu online ordering and pick up on a day to day basis and one separate and dedicated to ordering online catering orders.
