Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

  1. We would like our reports to save automatically so we don't have to reset the filters every time. It'd be ideal if the Dashboard could display the filters we have already set so we do not have to recreate them every time

  2. In item sales reporting, when looking at Categories, please fix the All Categories checkbox to allow to select and DE-select all. It currently only allows you to select all and manually de-select categories. It would be easier if it worked to select and de-select all as an option when you have more than 50-100+ categories for retail.

  3. I use a third party gateway to process external payments through a payment portal. In the itemized entries on deposits report the report doesn't equal to the amount transferred to the bank. The amount transferred is greater than the itemized total. This because there is no accounting for the external payments received from the gateway on that particular day. The report has other payments, but it shows a zero dollar amount. I have to reconcile this manually. The batch close out doesn't show any external payments either. Please consider adding in payments received from a 3rd party gateway. Thank you.

  7. To ease in importing report into Quickbooks, it would help to remove the category name and possibly the modifier name from the Items sales Report..
    It would be great if the export allows for selection of line items. Same for all reports.

  8. Hello Clover Product & Development Team,

    I am writing to formally revisit a feature request I submitted earlier this year regarding inventory reporting. At the time, I was advised that this functionality was “not available,” but I want to clearly express how critical this gap is for retail businesses and why it deserves serious reconsideration moving into 2026.

    As a brick-and-mortar retail store owner, I rely on my POS system not just to process sales, but to make informed business decisions. Currently, Clover does not provide a clear way to view:

  9. There are many existing filters for reports, except categories. For small businesses categories are important to differentiate sales and allow posting of entries to an accounting program. Adding a category filter to existing reports would be a simple fix and help immensely to ease our operations.

  10. I would like to see every single sale that was made with an item. for example, you go to inventory, pick an item and get a list of all sales, with dates and prices. Ideal would be if you can also go from this sale to the transaction, to see the customer. Also when in orders or transactions I would love to click on the items there, to see it in inventory. hey, we're in the 21th century, that's no rocket science for a modern system and statistics is what makes a good inventory software!

  11. We need the ability to choose more than one device in reporting. Currently the only options are All Devices or the individual devices. Please include an option to choose which devices to include in a report.

  12. Our market frequently takes call-in orders that will be picked up on a future date. We need an option that will show all orders paid on a particular day, separate from all sales entered on a particular day.

    Also, we need a report for the processed credit card batch that shows the date, time, order number, and a list of the individual order totals, instead of just the total by card type that was processed.

  14. "Revenue Class" is the primary driver of the Sales Overview report and it should be. The item attribute that populates "revenue class reports" and lists on Clover devices is "Labels." In other words when you create a new item, you choose the "revenue class" by clicking on the "labels" field. Please change the attribute name "Labels" to "revenue class." After that is corrected, make the "revenue class" field exportable. Right now "Lables"/"Revenue Classes" export as "printer labels" and when reimported, populates the "Printer Label" field. In your "Instructions and Glossary" tab of an Item List Export, you don't list "printer…

  16. Create an Inventory Valuation Report which shows item, quantity, unit cost, unit price, extended cost, extended price. The report which currently exports to Excel is very disappointing and requires substantial work in excel to obtain the info needed.

  17. First, customization of reporting is very limited with Clover. Other systems I have used have had far more extensive options to customize and tailor reports to our needs so my first suggestion is to greatly increase the customization options for reporting.

    I am specifically encountering an issue where my business requires separate accounting entries based on tender type and operation category. However, Clover does not allow filtering by category within tender type, nor filtering of tender type within a category so I have no way to account for category tender types other than individually tallying items.   18. Many of my Merchants have requested the ability to filter the Orders tab by a certain date much like the dashboard. I realize the Orders tab on the devices only allow data for the past 30 days but being able to select and show only Orders for "Today" or "Yesterday", Or "Last Week" would be very helpful just to quickly filter the orders that show up. For restaurants that deal with managing a large number of orders each day this filter would be extremely helpful. Much like the Order Status filter which filters the orders by "Open", "Paid" "Refunded", etc.…

  19. Till Management, or Cash Drawer Management, should be a core product offering. There is a severe lack of reporting and controls in high volume retail environments where cash drawers are reconciled multiple times per day with multiple tenders. The development appears to be available in the Clover Sport product set and should be included in all plan levels.

    This would be highly useful at all levels and it is surpassing that it has not been deployed.

    Additionally:
    1. Assigning cash drawers to users seems logical given that there are 2 drawer ports on the hub.

  20. Businesses need a P&L report that shows a breakdown of the income like on the Sales Overview, but also breaks out YOUR fees between loan fees and credit card fees as it does on the deposits report and COGS like on the item sales report... I have to run those 3 reports 4 times each for a total of 12 reports to give my manager the P&L numbers!! You're already pulling all the data for the reporting, just consolidate it better..
