Welcome to the Clover Services Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Services merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Services space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.

Appointments: Ideas related to Clover’s Appointment software.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Please allow the Sales Overview to populate third party gift card information in the "Gift Card Activations" section of "Sales". The Register app populates Gift Card Redemptions as as Item but activations are not captured. Not acknowledging third party data for gift cards creates a gap in sales and tax reporting which makes bookkeeping more difficult than it has to be.

  2. Merchant has to pay a percentage of sales to the mall where she has her business and would like an easier way to figure how much she owes without showing on the receipt.

  3. There needs to be a way for the us to access invoices via the POS and mark paid when the customer comes in to pick up the order. Which would allow us to mark the orders paid without deleting the order and having to input everything again at the register. We also need to be able to itemize the invoice for our customer. I know that you can from Square and QuickBooks.

  4. EXTEND THE RANGE OF TIME TO PRINT MONTHY REPORTS DON'T SEND ME TO DASHBORD TO GET THEM. I CAN PRINT ONLY 6 MONTHS.
    I am trying to get a monthly reports from my point of sales and only give me 6 months behind . I need the report from 2022 and 2023 out of my printer and it tells you that you need to go to dashbord and get them.. They want to print out reports out of the Clover Point of sales printer NOT from the dashbord.

  5. The cellular app should show the current device at the top of the list of devices so that the current device can be managed on the device. Also add the nickname and data usage back onto the device so merchants can be sure they are looking up the correct device without having to check the serial number.

    Also add a search option so merchants can search for a different device by nickname or serial number etc. they have without logging in online.

  6. In order to better serve customers, it would be nice to see their total lifetime points, account notes, and be able to customize customer names from the register terminal when selecting rewards accounts. This is especially useful in a grocery/retail setting where you may need quick access to this information.

  7. We need to be able to click on each item and get a report on who purchased it. As there can be recalls on items. We also need to be able to see when we added and subtracted inventory. When adding in inventory there is no way that I can find that we can see when we added in new inventory therefore lots of mistakes can be made. We have invoices with 50 items or more and the phone rings, customers come we need to be able to check and besure we added the item and that we didn't double…

  8. PLEASE allow correct formatting for business phone number on customer facing receipts (per US convention, parentheses and dash (**) **-xxxx. A long, non formatted telephone number looks terrible. Thanks!

    Thank you for raising this issue. While we investigate you can update the format on your Clover device.

    • launch the Setup App
    • browse to Business Information
    • select Phone
    • use the key pad in enter your preferred formation, including any special characters such as parentheses and dashes
  9. We are a home based business and are able to hide our address on payment receipts but not invoices. Please update invoices to allow us to hide our address or use our PO Box

  10. Allow partial payments on invoices so that customers can pay deposits, then pay the remaining balance, without having to send multiple invoices for the same job.

  11. I'm reaching out to request the availability to submit orders into the POS remotely from a computer or phone. My Merchant was doing this previously with their OLD POS. They had the ability to login to a 'ghost' POS from their computer at home and ring up orders. Then the orders would be in the system ready for the next day.

    This comes up a lot during holidays. Customer has 30+ Catering Orders for Christmas Eve and would like to be able to enter them all on their computer and have them appear on the POS.

  12. When scanning a QR code, the payment screen states "your order" this is confusing and generally only applicable in restaurants. It would be helpful if this title could be edited particularly for non profits and churches that tend to use QR often.

  13. Ever since there was an update I have to log back in if my dashboard is idle for 15 minutes. This is a real pain. I used to login in the morning and it would leave me logged in. Please change the logout time back to how it used to be

  14. It should allow you to Store Card on File on the Device for businesses like gyms.
    At gyms Cards are kept on file, reason being not all customers take their wallets to the gym and want to purchase water, shakes, etc. It's convenient to have card on file feature on the device level.

  15. Our company is PCI compliant based on the parameters we put in place. That being said, we only issue invoices to customers so the customers can pay via links. I would like there to be a way in the permissions (virtual terminal) to allow employees only to issue invoices, but not process a credit card. This would ensure we are PCI compliant on all fronts.

  18. On the Hosted Checkout Invoice, can the words Your Order be replaced with the name of the specific Payment Link.

    Example: Your Order = Membership or Food Pantry, etc. (dependent on payment link used)

    1. Product images are always in portrait mode online on other websites, yet Clover's pilot program is in landscape which results in a lot more work to re-format every single product image we have in order to upload. YET once this is done and it's uploaded as per the landscape view, it previews as portrait!!

    2. The banner logo heading is showing as completely compressed even though it's a high res image.

    3. The preview page is tiny - should open up in a new tab. Impossible to check your work.

    4. Can the 'special instructions' on the preview page be turned off?
