    Many other restaurant POS systems have reporting showing the number of guests served during a specified time frame. Clover has transaction and order reporting, but nothing that shows number of guests from the Clover Dining app. Is that something we can get added into the Clover Reporting App.

    I believe there was a slight update to how Clover functions for firing kitchen orders. Many Clover restaurants are set to fire the order to the kitchen when “Pay or Save is Tapped”. Recently this works differently. Now, customer calls in a pick-up order and the employee enters it into Clover and hits “Save”. That order fires to the kitchen printer. Then when the customer comes later to pick up and pay… the employee locates the order and hits “Pay”. Now, the items on that order fire to the kitchen printer again as reprints.

    In the past, the clover system would recognize that these items have already been “Printed” and it would not send them to the kitchen again. I believe the latest update dropped that piece of the equation.

    Many full service restaurants have large menus with MANY categories or they have the same item in their dinner and lunch menu but at different prices and/or portions. In clover, this results in FAR too many categories for a server to easily navigate. It would be great to have another layer of "sub-categorization" in the Clover Inventory. This can be to identify meal period (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) or to separate out a bar menu from a food menu. I've lost many merchants to Toast for this specific feature.

    In restaurants, there is often the need to put a modifier on top of another modifier. For instance, a customer orders meal combo that comes with a soup or salad. Once the server chooses "Salad," he or she should be able to now choose the dressing type (without having to add the dressing mod group to the meal item). I'm seeing this done in other competitor systems such as Toast and Cake... and it appears that the easiest way to do this would to be able to have a "Modifier" also be an "Item" in the Clover inventory. When this modifier is chosen, (because it is also an item), its modifier groups pop up for selection.

    I've had numerous bar merchants request 2 cash drawers on a single Clover Station. And many of our POS competitors do offer this.

    I've had this feature requested by dozens of restaurants implementing the Clover system. Many competing POS systems offer the ability to refund/re-open a ticket to where an employee can then add or remove items... as in the case where an employee accidentally closes the wrong table. I didn't realize it... but apparently this is a very common occurrence.

    In restaurants and bars there is a need to add items to an order after it has been refunded or partially paid. Imagine a server accidentally marks the wrong order as paid by cash. It would be great to refund that payment so that table can continue ordering and then apply the payment to the right table (instead of rekeying the whole order). Its understandable to dissallow addition of items to a paid order, but it seems like a good idea to explore the possibility of adding items to refunded or partially paid orders.

    Currently the Roll Over # setting controls all clover devices on an account... yet the order number sequence operates independently on each device. Unfortunately Counter Pay restaurants with multiple Clover Stations are not able to make use of auto order numbers the way the system is currently set. It would be great to have an account level order # sequence like it used to be or for the user to have the ability to pick a starting # and rollover number separately for each clover device on an account.

    I've had multiple clients set up with multiple stations at a counterpay restaurant where they set up automatic order number generation with a rollover at 100. However, often times when a device is accesses, a new orders is entered quicker than the device can sync to the cloud and pick up the order# sequence... and thus duplicate order numbers are commonly sent to the kitchen. It would be great if this auto-order # feature could have a sequence independent for each device and just send a unique 1 or 2 digit prefix for each device. This is a real issue now though.
