Partial refunds

We need to be able to take partial refunds. This is very important in retail sites since we have customers only returning certain items on their receipts. We called customer services and they said we could only do full refunds or we have to fake a new transaction with the items they are returning to get a total and than do a manual refunds for that amount. We than have to manually adjust our inventory. There has to be a better way. We should be able to choose the item that they are returning and only refund that amount and have the inventory adjust itself.

    We need the ability to refund our customers partial payments when they return material.

    I would like to be able to process partial payments on the desktop version of clover. I do not want to download and app on my phone to process these partial credits.

    The client would like to ability to partially refund a customer after the initial payment is completed. So far the workaround has been refunding the entire order and reprocessing the payment for the lesser amount.

    Manually adjusting inventory is a pain. A refund of an item needs to add it back to inventory and partial refunds / exchanges need to be possible to not have to refund money that is then tied up on the customers card and create a whole new sale when it could just be the adjustment of the difference.

    I have the request for partial amount of refund in clover station duo. '' THIS IS REALLY REALLY URGENT AND IMPORTANT''. so i run a gas station and this happens mutiple times everyday.
    EXAMPLE:- if somebody is buying $10 worth of gas and pumps only $7.20 worth of gas. so if we need to give him the the rest $2.80 back, the clover station is not able to do the partial refund of that $2.80 (example) OFF of the fuel category only.
    IMPORTANT NOTE:- If that $2.80 ( example) is refunded IT HAS TO BE TAKEN OFF OF THE FUEL CATEGORY ONLY. Otherwise it will mess up the END OF THE DAY FUEL SALES REPORT.
    PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP.
