Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. Being able to refund a MODIFIER when we don't want to refund the whole item or whole order.
    For example, someone orders a salad and chooses to ADD CHICKEN (which is a modifier). That modifier is +$6.
    Later that day, the customer calls because their salad did not include chicken & they want to be refunded for the chicken ONLY.
    Right now, you can only refund the whole item (salad + chicken) or the whole order. We want to be able to refund MODIFIERS (only the $6 for adding chicken).

  2. The idea is to have included on a report the quantity of guest included on the tickets, so it can be possible to have a head count for a day

  3. How can we make Categories go away for certain time period ?

    For example, merchant has Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu and the prices are not the same. Since they do have such a large menu they don’t want to see Dinner menu during breakfast time or breakfast menu during dinner.

  5. We need the ability to add a revenue class to a new inventory item directly from device. I've seen this requested as far back as 2021 but it is still not an option. Revenue classes are vital to inventory management and reporting and so it makes no sense that they can only be added through the dashboard. This is very cumbersome and unnecessary. It would be so easy to add "revenue class" as an input option on the "add item" screen on the device and it would save a huge amount of frustration and time on the user end.

  6. We need a 3rd Party Ordering Check Box so we can have a separate Inventory/Menu, in the INVENTORY>ITEMS submenu so that we can price DoorDash etc independently, from our POS or our own Online Pricing

  7. As a restaurant operator I find it absolutely horrifying and an immense oversight that my employees can process transactions under their own credentials without being clocked in. As a result, these transactions do not appear on the shifts report, but do appear in both the transactions and reporting apps. We hold our credit card tips, as such the employees rely on the shifts report in order to determine how much card tip they are owed and how much cash they must turn in to the house (their total cash sales).

  8. Ability to run any report on the Multi-Location Dashboard
    Right now we can only run the basic sales overview reports which is not helpful in trying to manage inventory, people, etc across multiple locations.
    1. A critical report would be Sales by Item by Location by date that includes quantities, transaction/order ID, item name, discount, employee.
    2. A report with Inventory by location in one report with the ability to see all items across all locations with any variance in cost, price, modifiers, categories, labels, revenue classes. It's very difficult when trying to sync items across locations to have to…

  10. Please add "brand" column or feature. Right now our retail business uses "printer label" as brand because we do not need to print orders to a kitchen and we need something to account for the many brands that we sell. For whatever reason, when adding a new product, the "pinter label" options are not alphabetical. This is very annoying because we have almost 100 brands that we have to scroll through to find the right one.

  11. Please make the Employee filter in reporting searchable. Merchants (Taxis) may have 600 employees to drop down through...needs to be a searchable field.

  14. Currently, if a customer goes to Clover online ordering and cancels the order, the $0.00 order ticket will stuck in the order app and cannot be deleted, which is cluttering the list. Please add an option to delete or archive these cancelled orders from the orders app.

  15. I am a vender in central Florida and have number of customers that are visiting.
    There is a growing number that buy items and request to have them shipped to their home across the US.

    The Clover device does not allow for shipping to be added without taxing the shipping cost. This presents a challenge in accounting and customers question the tax cost.

    Is it possible for develop the program to add shipping without adding ang cost.

  18. Merchant would like to be able to narrow down an employee's reporting access to a specific inventory category or order type, rather than an all or nothing for Reporting. For example, they have an employee who manages their events. They would like that employee to have access to sales reporting ONLY for the Events category, not ALL sales reporting. Otherwise, all sales reporting access must be disabled and another member of management has to pull and edit the reporting before sending to the events manager.

  19. The ability to email multiple addresses, separated by a comma or semi-colon, should be available directly from the charge processing screen. Currently, you can only email to 1 addresses then must go to transactions, after you submit the payment, open the transaction and send duplicate receipt, also, 1 address at a time.

  20. Please make it so employees cannot get passed the lock-screen without clocking in by making the clock-in prompt undismissable. Meaning, when you hit cancel instead of clock-in, you are brought back to the lock screen. This will prevent employees from accidentally processing transactions without being clocked in.
