We have a suggestion to improve cash handling security: requiring the cash drawer to be closed after each transaction before allowing the next one to proceed. This additional setting in the system would serve as a protection against mishandling cash sales. By ensuring the cash drawer must be closed before processing the next transaction, it would prevent situations where an employee might bypass entering a transaction and simply take cash from an open drawer to make change for the next customer.
