So much this. How is this not already a feature? Every one of your competitors offers it. Instead my cashiers have to stare at the screen after every item to make sure it was read properly, because the tone literally lies to them and still beeps normally if the UPC code isn't found in the system. And if they miss the error, they have to go back and start over or go through every item to figure out where the error was.
This costs us money every day. Product given away free on accident, lost productivity due to slower checkouts...we work hard to have every UPC in the system but sometimes a supplier changes their UPC code or sends us a different generic version of a product and we don't notice.
This is basic core functionality that needs to exist.
Could we get a response on this, or are we just throwing ideas at a brick wall here?
