More granular receipt customization. We would like to be able to make changes to every aspect of our receipts. Right now, our options are very limited. For example, in our restaurant, we have 2 kitchen stations for food, one station is the oven, which takes longer to prepare food items, the other is for everything else. We want to be able to highlight Oven items on order receipts, either by having those items printed with priority at the top of order receipts, or by having the ability to change the color they are printed in. (We have to use an impact printer since thermal receipts will burn when hung over the grill, so we have red and black ink available, but no ability to adjust which items are printed in which color.) Currently, the Oven items are just printed in whichever order the server enters them into Clover Dining, which leads to some of those items not being seen by the cooks, and those items don't get made. Another solution, which worked for us on our previous system, would be to allow us to print 2 receipts from the same printer for the same order, and have them divided by sticky label, so oven items print to one ticket, and then all items print to the second one. This way when the servers hang the tickets they would be able to just hang the oven ticket in front so those items get started first.
