Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc. 

Menu: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

Multi-LocationIdeas related to the functionality of Clover's Multi-Location product.

Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

  1. When programming a menu for a full service restaurant. We need Sub Modifiers!!

    Lets say the Item is Spaghetti that comes with choice of soup or salad.

    Right now the modifier has to read: Every kind of soup and every kind of salad option.

    It would be nice if a modifier was able to be programed that said "soup" and then "salad".

    Then SUB modifiers would come up. IF Salad was selected all the salad dressings would be listed in the sub modifier. If soup was selected all of the soup options would come up in the sub modifier.

  2. The menu will only go one level deep. For a full service restaurant with a full bar, they have to have too many tabs because the menu won't go more than one level. They have to have a menu option for each type of liquor in order to list the corresponding cocktails and liquors rather than selecting liquor, then the type, then the ******** ordered.

  3. When the kitchen printer goes offline there needs to be a notification that stays on the screen that requires acknowledgment from the server before closing the screen out. Also, when this happens the system should automatically print the kitchen chit on the receipt printer so the server can bring this back to the kitchen staff and let them know there is a printer failure of some sort. Currently, the system only flashes across the screen, puts a tiny little icon on the top of the screen that no one is going to see, and I have to manually redirect the…

  5. Clover dining adds no additional reporting to clover. Restaurants need to know:
    1. how many guests they have served
    2. Average turn times of tables
    3. Average spend per guest/table

    All clovers main competitors provide this reporting. The information is there, so why not add a report for it?

  6. There was an update to the system last week that removed the ability to hold down on an item to change the quantity. We utilized that option all the time. Now, if you hold down you can change the item availability.
    It would be nice to have the quantity back. Or, at least put a quantity bar at the top of the screen on the handhelds.

  7. Allow restaurants to sort their online menus by Category or Item (including alphabetically) for fast access to turn items on and off depending on availability. Right now, I just see a list of all items available, which makes it difficult to go through the entire list just to turn one or two items off.
