  1. You should have a tax-inclusive item where you can see the price of an item and it automatically subtracts the sales tax in reporting and reports the item revenue.

  3. Please add a note/order/invoice number field to the payment link feature. The information added to the field should also be available when looking at the transaction in the payment details section. How else is the merchant to know what the payment is for?

  4. Banks are notifying use they will no longer be carrying pennies. We need to have the POS round the total to the nearest nickel for cash transactions.

  5. DO NOT alow system to APPROVE a debit card payment that does NOT have ALL the funds available to COVER the transaction... NEEDS to DECLINE ...

    NOT doing so... Causes BUSY clerks to MISS ALL the funds were not accounted for in APPROVAL

    AND - ALSO makes it so BANKS can use it as an excuse to collect an OVERDRAFT FEE from the Consumer
    I have a busy gas station that ran a transaction for $81.12

    The clerk ran the card and the customer left
    The Bookkeeper discovered a discrepancy that they were SHORT $79.42

    Was discovered the system approved…

    Thank you for your feedback on this issue. Clover does support partial authorization at the point of sale as required by most card networks. Rather than complex variations based on card type, MCC, and other parameters we have adopted a common implementation where the merchant is guided through a partial authorization workflow; e.g.


    A $53 payment is attempted and the card is approved for $51.50


    • This card has been approved $51.50
    • The remaining amount dues is $1.50
    • How would like to proceed; void initial payment or take next payment


    We support these capabilities at the request of our acquiring partners to reduce costs associated with downgrades, non-participation fees, and the like.

  6. The Clover Virtual terminal should allow invoices to be closed out as paid in cash or check. When one of my businesses sends an invoice, they do not know what payment type the customer will want to use. I should not have to maintain two invoicing systems, and your invoicing system does not allow me to manage it properly.

  7. We use Clover for our retail business and would like more flexibility with exchanges. Many times, the exchange is not for an exact priced item. The work a round is time cumbersome - Issue an in-store credit, because sometimes the item can't be refunded. Create a new sale for the exchange for items and then pay via a split transaction of in-store credit and regular payment.

  8. Is there an update on adding custom fields to the HPP? The support site indicated this enhancement would be coming Q3/Q4 2024, so just checking on the status. At a minimum, the ability to add an "invoice number" field (like what's on the VT) would allow more flexibility for many merchants. Thank you!

  9. I am able to send customers a link or a QR code to make a payment and/or donations but there is no options for them to set up a recurring payment and/or donation

    As a admin I able to do so but I would it be efficient and easier if a customer was able to set up a recurring payment on their own, make edits and cancel recurring payments

  10. The state of Tennessee is now charging taxes on mandatory gratuities or service charges. Most POS systems have updated to allow the users to add taxes to those fees (typically 18% or 20% gratuity) to pass the burden to the consumer. Clover has not added this option which is causing businesses using it to pay an additional tax amount each month. You will start to lose customers by not adding the option, I am sure.

  11. Currently, only the owner is able to receive an email notification when a payment is made from their payment link. Merchants have requested the option to select what email the notification is sent to and allow for more than one email address to be included.

  12. When an invoice is expired there is no option to delete it. Even support can't delete it. Annoying how I can delete any other invoice, but for some reason the invoices that should be canceled / deleted can't be so I'm not stuck with a certain unpaid balance forever

  13. partial refunds within the Clover dashboard. As of the current system configuration, there are specific limitations related to partial refunds based on the transaction type:

    1. Virtual Terminal or Physical Clover Terminal Transactions:

    o You can process partial refunds for transactions conducted through the virtual terminal or a physical Clover terminal.

    o If a customer requests a partial refund for a charge made using either of these methods, you can initiate the refund directly from the Clover dashboard.

    1. Payment Links or HCO (Hosted Checkout) Transactions:

    o Unfortunately, partial refunds are not supported for transactions completed via payment links or HCO.

  15. For cash payments, we have found that prices are not rounded.

    For example, a purchase of $1.27 rounded up to $1.30 or

    When refunding, instead of $3.02, round up to $3 or instead of $2.78, round up to $2.80.

    This worked very well on our old cash register system.

  16. For telephone purchases/payments, we would like the ability to pull/select from the Items list in the Clover Terminal into the New Sale on the Virtual Terminal. Should be able to show itemized list and total sale in the receipt sent to customer. Currently we can only enter a total sale amount, with a "Note for item or service" in a text box.

  17. Occasionally a customers recurring payment will fail for various reasons, ISF, expired card, etc.
    I originally set up Clover to automatically email receipts when payments were processed.
    I have had an issue with Clover sending receipts that make it appear as though a payment was processed successfully when it actually failed to process. This is an issue, a BIG ISSUE.
    I haven't been able to turn off AUTOMATIC RECEIPTS, except to change each customer, individually.
    CLOVER IS SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT THAN PAYEEZY. I'm not sure that CLOVER is a good option for our business.

  18. I had an employee pickup a terminal that was still logged in by the previous staff who was using the terminal. As such, the employee's sale was lodged under the wrong user.

    Currently, there is no way that I can reassign that sale to the correct users. Please grant admins the ability to reassign the sale to the correct employee.

  19. For accountability purposes, all other POS systems allow you to assign the cash drawer to yourself when you start your shift so that it will only open for your login. Others can still use the terminal for transactions, but if they hit cash as a payment method the drawer will not open for them, ensuring no one else has access to your assign cash bank. At the end of your shift, you unassign the drawer from your login so whoever is coming on after you can put their bank in the drawer and do the same. This is a basic…
