Buy 2 get $x off
Is there a way to set up Clover POS so that when 2 items are scanned, a discount amount automatically get applied to the order?
Example: Red Bull is running a Promo, a single can of 8.4oz red bull sells for $2.99. If customer buys 2 cans of either of the same kind or different flavor, they would get $1 off; 2 for $5.
I know that Clover can offer customer discount where it can be applied at the register, but I don't want my employees to abuse this, and used it on something else that's not Red Bull. If…

Payment Options on Clover Kiosk
Merchant would like to be able for customers to add discounts to their orders or promos from the Clover Kiosk Device. The merchant wanted to run discount for their soft open of new business and provide 20% discount to customer orders he can do it from the pos device but there's no option from the kiosk nor can they add promos.

Discounts available on the online menu
We need the ability to offer discounts online. Currently, discounts can only be applied directly on the POS by our employees. We would like the option to make discounts live on the online menu.

Allow partial payments in Clover Go and Virtual Terminal/Dashboard to be paid out.
Currently when there is a partially paid order on accounts that only have the dashboard or clover go to process payments, they have no way to complete it. This causes the order to show in the open orders tab on the clover go with no way to remove it. There is no option to take the rest of the payment on Clover go or the Dashboard.

VARIABLE DISCOUNT
Hello,
We need to be able to apply either
1. A variable discount to orders, or

Discount tied to customer name
There should be an option so that discounts can be automatically applied when the customer name is added. We have many reoccurring customers that always get a certain discount amount. As it stands, you have to add the customer name, then you have to apply the discount. It would be nice to only have to add the customer name and the discount is automatically applied to the order.

Cash Discount - Editing items
Please add functionality that allows editing the cash discount calculation in the item profile. As it is now, you can only calculate the cash discount price when initially creating the item. If you come back to it, the option is no longer available. This makes adding new items or changing pricing very confusing for merchants.
4 votesThank you for your feedback on our Cash Discount program. You are correct that when adding new items we do offer capabilities to adjust the item price to account for the cash discount rate. However, we don't have a similar experience when changing the price of an existing item to then adjust the same for the cash discount rate.
We are currently reviewing that request and will post a status here shortly. In the meantime you may wish to review our help content on managing pricing for cash discount rate. Our cash discount merchants should be familiar with this content so they can be in full control of managing their pricing for existing items.

Rewards % off doesn't work
Your rewards program needs a LOT of work and a LOT MORE INSTRUCTIONS posted. I was able to get a $ off discount to work, but that is not optimal for my type of business. I would like to offer a 5% discount after $100 purchase, but that doesn't work at all. There are so many broken pieces to the rewards "program" I hardly know where to begin. The pop-up box after the customer checks in asks for the amount of today's purchase; when that is entered, it automatically awards them points before it is even paid for. That is…

Remove cash discount for promos and Discounts
There needs to be an option to stop the native Clover cash discount when a promo is being run. For example 2 gatorades are $5.50. This should be the cost no matter if the customer is using a card or cash. It is a set promo not dependent on tender type. There is no way to remove the cash discount from an item based on quantities purchased. If a customer is purchasing a single gatorade all cash or card prices should be normal, but if the customer is purchasing 2 gatorades there is a set price. I have tried all…

Allow Customer's Rewards Account to Be Personalized at Register
Currently, customers sign up for rewards at the POS and then the merchant has to go to the customer application after the purchase has occurred and the rewards account has been created to edit and add name/birthday/ect
Alternatively, the customer can create their account in the Clover app and this information will populate automatically.
Merchant's want to be able to actively edit rewards accounts in register at the time of creation so that they can have a seamless flow that does not require the customer to stay after their purchase to open the customer application and provide additional information.

ability to add tax before applying discounts per some state regulations
Merchants requires Tax to be applied to Orders prior to any Discounts per their State's requirement (Hawaii)

Ability to Add/Edit/Remove Discount in Website
Add back the ability to add/edit/remove Discount option on the website version in settings. I noticed it was removed after the update, it was very helpful having that option when I can not be at the location to adjust things.

Cash Discount Adjust Item Price
Add an option maybe in Payments or under Cash Discount Settings for entering the Cash price instead of the Retail Price by default - currently merchants have to enter a custom item, hit the small pencil icon that they may struggle to hit, then check off Adjust Item Price for Cash Discount, or with a variable priced item, check the box underneath. We request some way for it to default that checkbox.
