Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Appointments: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s Appointment software.

3. Website: Ideas relating to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

  1. We're an ISO and I just noticed that the DBA character limit has been reduced to 24 characters. Most DBAs now have to be abbreviated. Our merchants have been calling to complain and there's literally nothing we can do. We can't understand why this change was made even though we fully understand that FDPOS has a character limit. Clover dashboards didn't used to have this limitation and there doesn't seem to be any discernable or logical reason to reduce the character limit

  2. Merchants would like to be able to see the ACH details under the customer profile as well as be able to filter or search for customers that have an ACH on file v a credit card on file.

  3. Why is there no direct link to the developer page within the main dashboard of your account. It makes absolutely no sense to have to make yet another login to get into the developers area. This way anything you develop is linked back to your account.

  4. It would be nice if when adding a customer onto a new order that the option would be available to send the add customer page to the customer station for them to fill-out instead of the associate being the one to ask them their information and fill it out. Possible a pop-up asking associate to send page to customer or not.

  5. Just moved business to clover max and have 14 terminals all linked. There's no option to manually settle machines. You need to wait until they auto settle everyday.. silly.

    There's two auto settle reporting options:

    1. Group all employee sales together under Quick Access and nobody can find what their individual sales were.
    2. Have everyone log in but all 15 machines print 5ft long settlements every settlement including all employee sales on every settlement, 15 times across all machines.

    This is the silliest and worst feature I can imagine, and I've never seen this problem with another company. Possibly annoying enough…

  6. For the love of dear baby Jesus, would you please let the web UI remember more than one device? I log in from a few different devices (home PC, work PC, tablet, phone), and constantly have to go to my phone to get the 2FA code because it only remembers the last one, not this one. So it defeats the purpose entirely to remember a device.

  7. Thousands of spam customers were added (not sure how!) and need to be deleted but currently the only option is to do so one by one. They are all from the same invalid domain @example.com so would be very easy to bulk delete. Not sure why this isn't a feature already.

  8. I need you to add a payout button to my device so the employees can see the payouts and it will show on their reports. I also need it to show up on my dashboard

  9. Not sure if this is the case for users that export data to Quickbooks through the Clover app, but as a user that introduces deposits manually in QB it would be very helpful to click on tender type and see how many retail items were sold during a specific time period that were cash transactions and that were credit card transactions. Also the daily batches should have a breakdown of retail items sold and the surcharge amount.

  10. It would be helpful if we had the option to sort alphabetically. I need to input the sales by device into a spreadsheet and the card types aren't always in the same order.

  11. The cellular app should show the current device at the top of the list of devices so that the current device can be managed on the device. Also add the nickname and data usage back onto the device so merchants can be sure they are looking up the correct device without having to check the serial number.

    Also add a search option so merchants can search for a different device by nickname or serial number etc. they have without logging in online.

  12. Please provide me report for hourly trend sales per monthly basis. I get hourly net sale trend only per day. I need trends per month. Thank you and please respond.

  13. I have a client that has auto settlement set at 6:16pm PST in FDPOS. The Closeout screen in the dashboard is showing 5:30pm closeout so when they run a sale after 5:30pm, the totals in the dashboard don't match his deposits. Please sync the closeout time in the dashboard "closeout" screen with the auto settlement time in FDPOS. Or allow merchant to adjust the closeout reporting time manually in the dashboard. If the Closeout screen can't be fixed, you might think about removing the Closeout screen completely since it's causing more confusion to merchants than anything else.

  14. While you can edit Price with the Quick Edit feature, you cannot edit Cost. Merchants need the ability to bulk edit the Cost of items, especially when they have items with variants, without needing to export their entire inventory and filtering through thousands of items to make the necessary changes before re-importing.

  15. When putting in the business address, Address Line 1 should allow more characters or add an Address Line 2. I find it frustrating that this is even an issue.

  16. Merchant would like to be able to open an item category and update the items via the "In Stock" toggle within the category rather than having to use the item list to toggle the item in stock.

  18. We would love to see a SaaS plan for nonprofits in the future. I am at a CFI Agent Bank, and we have several nonprofits that would greatly benefit.

    Some ideas to include in the bundle are built in "Pay my processing fees" option, year-end donor records, and ability to send donation notices for special events.

  19. Enhancement to "Create a branded website" tab/process.
    Services Growth Tier has ability to take payment/deposit online. First time merchant (who is used to card present instore) may not be familiar aware of option to take payment online as part of appointment process. That option for setup is under the primary view settings -> Services and Appointments section for Appointment Booking. I think there would be a benefit to have reference and link to the Appointment Booking section from the Create Branded Website page. I think having reference to Fraud Filters/Fraud Setup there would be beneficial as well.
