Welcome to the Clover Services Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Services merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Services space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


Appointments: Ideas related to Clover’s Appointment software.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

Reporting: Ideas relating to improving and enhancing Clover’s reporting.

  1. We're an ISO and I just noticed that the DBA character limit has been reduced to 24 characters. Most DBAs now have to be abbreviated. Our merchants have been calling to complain and there's literally nothing we can do. We can't understand why this change was made even though we fully understand that FDPOS has a character limit. Clover dashboards didn't used to have this limitation and there doesn't seem to be any discernable or logical reason to reduce the character limit

  2. Multiple shifts per day:

    We have 2 services ( brunch and dinner) per day with 2 different teams, therefore we need a closeout report ( sales and tips) per shift - not per day

    We also need different menus per shift.

  3. For the love of dear baby Jesus, would you please let the web UI remember more than one device? I log in from a few different devices (home PC, work PC, tablet, phone), and constantly have to go to my phone to get the 2FA code because it only remembers the last one, not this one. So it defeats the purpose entirely to remember a device.

  4. It used to be where I could turn OFF this setting and then it would be turned back on after a period of time. Now, the setting is always required to be ON. If this is the case, then don't have the setting to turn it OFF or ON because it would not be necessary.

Fix your 2-Factor Authentication, I do not want it turned on and I will turn it off and as soon as I turn it off and logoff, when I login again, it is back on again, turning itself back on again, then I have to wait for the code to come up to type it and it doesn't pop up right away. If I wanted it on, I would turn it on. I DO NOT WANT IT ON. I WANT IT "OFF"!!! IT WASTES MY TIME. FIX IT PLEASE!!!!

  6. A quick reference guide for frequently used functions was expected when we switched over to Clover. I will make my own for my employees but it would be nice if Clover would put one out.

  7. Include alternative options for 2FA, like email when logging into the dashboard for the first time. International clients aren't able to receive SMS Text as international/country codes aren't listed on the drop down. Specifically need to add Palau 011680 as a option.

  8. Why is there no direct link to the developer page within the main dashboard of your account. It makes absolutely no sense to have to make yet another login to get into the developers area. This way anything you develop is linked back to your account.

  9. The cellular app should show the current device at the top of the list of devices so that the current device can be managed on the device. Also add the nickname and data usage back onto the device so merchants can be sure they are looking up the correct device without having to check the serial number.

    Also add a search option so merchants can search for a different device by nickname or serial number etc. they have without logging in online.

  10. I work as an ISO and constantly get asked to help merchants with simple items but cant do it without access to their dashboard. Some of them don't have the password or have never logged in before. A bunch of them don't even use email on a regular basis so asking them to login and complete dual factor authentication is challenging. If every sales office had access to their own merchants dashboards we could support the merchant better and faster.

  11. I've discussed the new Retail Growth plan with some merchants on the Payments plan today. Feedback suggests some merchants do NOT want a web site or to sell via e-commerce. Specifically, some retailers are contractually forbidden from selling certain products/lines online so there is no value in them having a website. Therefore, the Growth plan would result in their paying for something they can't use.

  12. WHEN SENDING INVOICES OUT:
    IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THE OPTION TO SEND AN INVOICE AND ALLOW THE RECIPIENT TO CHANGE THE DOLLAR AMOUNT THEY WANT TO PAY.
    OUR OFFICE NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO SEND OUT THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OWED, BUT IF SOMEONE, FOR EXAMPLE: NEEDS TO SPLIT PAYMENT ONTO MULTIPLE CARDS, THEY SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO CHANGE THE DOLLAR AMOUNT THEY WANT TO PAY WHEN GOING TO MAKE THE PAYMENT ON THE INVOICE.

  14. When putting in the business address, Address Line 1 should allow more characters or add an Address Line 2. I find it frustrating that this is even an issue.

  15. We would love to see a SaaS plan for nonprofits in the future. I am at a CFI Agent Bank, and we have several nonprofits that would greatly benefit.

    Some ideas to include in the bundle are built in "Pay my processing fees" option, year-end donor records, and ability to send donation notices for special events.

  16. It would be nice to have an extra charging base or two. This way you don't have to lug around the base and charging cable if you move to different parts of the building or a new location.

Merchant would like to have the option to prompt the employee for their passcode at a specific location when switching businesses on the clover go app. Currently, the location can be switched without a passcode entered but merchant wants this option to be able to be toggled so the location switching process is more secure.

  19. the authorization on the mobile ap being the same phone number as the computer/desktop platform is not acceptable because the computer that will be at the store will not be with the phone (with the card reader) that will be at a fair. and the fair will WAY too loud to hear a phone ring to be tending to the needs of the store. not to mention leaving customers to take a phone call is rude. so either the store will not be able to use the computer platform or the fair will not be able to take payments. we…
