There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Let us know your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

  1. I have a merchant using Clover's Web Payment option, which currently provides an optional alphanumeric text box for customers to enter information during payment. Unfortunately, the response rate is low because customers aren't required to fill it out.

    Is there a way to make this field mandatory so that customers must enter their Customer Number or Invoice Number? Additionally, are there plans to allow for more than one alphanumeric field?

    It might be helpful to create a feature on the merchant's dashboard to toggle this field as "required."

  2. Please have an itemized invoice feature available where merchants can select items from their inventory and list it out on their invoice. Currently, they need to manually type out the list of items they are selling in the Notes section.

  3. Please add the option for a tip in online/emailed invoices. Currently, a tip can only be added before an invoice is sent. The only way I would know that a catering client would like to add a tip is to ask them before I send an invoice. This feels awkward and unprofessional. Thank you for adding a tip option for customers to select/add their own tip amount online.

  4. When customers pay by QRC code on their receipt, their cell phone will say "All Set" when approved. If the customer puts in the wrong zip code to verify the transaction, in some cases FiServ will notice this after the customers cell phone reports "All Set", and then void the transaction. You have to check the main Clover station to even notice this and by that time, the customer has left. It isn't realistic for the waiter to check the main Clover station every time someone pays by QRC. The Clover representative explained that "All Set" means that all the…

  5. The issue I’m running into is that I’d like to send invoices to customers that clearly list the actual items purchased, rather than only showing a subtotal and tax amount.

    It's critical to improve our customer communication and record-keeping.

  6. We were Moneris clients until recently, Moneris emailed receipt allowed you to add information like invoice numbers contained in the payment. Many of our clients have multiple locations and use one card to pay all of them. without that information they have to call or write us for help to reconcile the payment.....it creates more work for no reason. It would be useful to add a field for a string of a few characters.
