Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. We are experiencing an issue with the tipping process on CLOVER terminals when guests use Tourism Vouchers and our restaurant-generated Gift Cards as part of their payment. Currently, guests are prompted to add a tip based on the discounted amount, which can lead to under-tipping on the overall service received.

    We propose an enhancement to the tipping workflow:

    Tipping on Full Amount: Modify the terminal to prompt guests to first add a tip based on the full amount of the check before any discounts are applied.

  2. Merchants who are using CSR plan would like to eliminate the lengthy process of getting to print bill especially when they are busy. Can you please add that feature to the Register App so merchant can print bill right from register instead of going to Orders>Reissue Receipt>Print Bill? Thank you.

  3. there is a widespread need for a Catering app or catering order functions added to clover. restaurants need the ability to take a catering order from clover inventory items, send that order as a proposal, have the client accept the proposal and partial pay (deposit) or full pay the order, then track food quantity needed, date for preparation, date for pickup or delivery, delivery location, and confirmation. There is NO clover app of function for this, and no really good web-based option either.

  5. The app made by Clover, called Order Inspector, does NOT support the Clover Kiosk or the Clover Flex. We are asking Clover to make Order Inspector available on the Clover Kiosk and the Clover Flex that are widely used devices.

    This is the only App made by Clover, available on the Clover App Marketplace that allows you to view, print and email a report of all orders for your own records or for external auditors.   6. Change item quantities during orders -Currently, for all devices except Clover Flex, we can use the QTY Quantity bar at the top of the screen. Please enable this feature on Clover Flex as well. Businesses want to use Flex to take orders at the table and entering the same item multiple times is inconvenient -not functional during a dinner rush.

  7. I want the ability to have the Customer Information show up under the Orders Tab like it did once before. This is very important for when we want to see who we are delivering to without needing to always print the Order or Payment Receipt.

  8. Is it possible on the order receipt to have Surcharge information available. With a sit-down restaurant without a handheld device, the order receipt is presented to the customer and then payment is taken. Having the transparency to have the surcharge amount on the receipt to show the total after the surcharge, so the order receipt presented to the customer and the payment receipt when surcharge applies alligns

  9. Order receipt DOTTED LINE format option doesn’t work with Star 700 kitchen printer.
    When using the Large Font along with the dotted lines, the dotted lines wrap to two lines instead of only one.

  12. Allow orders fulfillment time to last longer than 1 hour. Half of my tabs disappear, when I switch to fulfillment time from order placement time. And a lot of time is wasted keeping receipts in order.

    Would be much easier if receipts printed in order from fulfillment time, instead of order place time

  13. Until around mid-April 2024, it was possible to view a tips breakdown in the Employee Sales report on the Clover POS devices. The total tip amount for each employee was broken down into "DoorDash Dasher tips" and "Employee tips". "DoorDash Dasher tips" are tips left by customers for online orders delivered through DoorDash Drive, while "Employee tips" are tips actually received by the employee for dine-in orders. It is no longer possible to view this information on the Clover device itself, and accessing the Dashboard is now the only way to view the tips breakdown. I am not sure why…

  14. Why is there a save button if it is gray scaled and you cannot click. If changes are made in real time there is no need for a save button.

  15. CLOVER INTEGRATION WITH UBER EATS

    Can customers select the options more than once?

    UBER EATS OFFERS THE OPTION TO CUSTOMIZE THE RULES OVER THE CHOICE OF AN EXTRA ITEM, BUT CLOVER DOES NOT.

    THIS MEANS THAT MY CLIENTS CANNOT SELECT MORE THAN 1 TIME AN EXTRA. IT ONLY WORKS IF I ENTER EVERYDAY AT EATS MERCHANT AND ACTIVATE THE OPTION OF "How many times can customers select any single option?"

  16. I have a Clover mini Gen2. I upgraded to a Gen3. Now the new Gen3 printer receipt sounds really choppy and seems a little bit slower. I have both machines side by side doing a test print. I even share the sound to the Tech Support Assistant who is online speaker phone to hear both of them do a test print.

    The new Clover Mini Gen3 printing is not smooth like the old mini GEN2. The sound is choppy and louder and does NOT print smoothly when it comes out of the thermal printer. Is it really supposed to sound…

  17. Guest screen should have equipment to be able to pivot / spin so that the customers aren't able to view what the counter is ringing in (for example, when another guest's tab is open).
    This wouldn't be necessary if we could instead choose when the guest can view the screen. For example, only view once business hit's "Pay"

  19. Assign tickets to the person who originally started the ticket regardless of who runs the credit card at cash out. That way a manager can help cash out customers without worrying about who the tip will be assigned to.
