Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Need the ability to take ALL open orders and transfer ALL of them to a new server. Our application is for a bar vs restaurant dinner orders. So at shift change there can be anywhere from 10-20 open orders, all of which need to be managed and moved to the new server. Presently we have to select order, transfer, select order select etc. etc. and transfer each one individually, this is very time consuming, especially during a shift change, it ties up the computer for a period of time and leaving other servers unable to add to orders and open…

  2. for online orders you need to be able to schedule holidays in advance so that you don't have to manually turn online orders on / off - which can lead to owners or staff forgetting to turn it back on - you should be able to add a 'holiday' schedule for online ordering

  3. Posting 2 ideas that are needed
    1. I offer rolls, where each roll is $8. However if a patron purchases 2 rolls, i want to offer it for $15. The rolls (or any menu item), needs to have a combiner option to push through deals that pushes sales higher
    2. The menu also offers meals, which is a roll, fries and a drink (coke, sprite etc) for $12, i want to able to offer a customer to replace this drink with a milkshare for an additional $2, to get the total to $14. Again an upcharge oppurtunity to push sales…

  4. Please give the Kiosk access to the labels app and/or program compatibility with an Epson TM-L90 sticky label printer. When merchants are running Clover POS with an Epson TM-L90 and want to integrate kiosks into their cafe/restaurant to expand their service volume, kiosks are not a realistic option without having similar functionalities as the Clover Mini. Competitors like Chowbus and Infi kiosks have seamless integrations with label printers, and have become favorable options for our merchants, unfortunately.

  5. It would be clearer to online ordering end-users if the Clover Online Ordering website showed the Order type (in-store pickup, delivery, curbside) listed as radio buttons rather than a drop-down so that end-users can clearly see all of the available options before hitting the checkout button. Currently, they may not realize that delivery or curbside pickup are available unless they know to click the drop down.

  6. Currently, doordash integration on the Clover Online Ordering only offers the pickup option and merchant needs the ability to have both pickup and delivery fulfilment options.

  7. For Online Orders- I want to be able to apply "Happy Hour" deals so that I can do a 2 for 1 discount specifically on a category or item. Please allow Happy Hour to reflect in the Online Ordering ( Clover App ) or for third party apps to contribute to quantity discounts/specials.

  9. I would like to be able to adjust each section and where it appears on the ticket. I own an elixir bar, which is like a coffee shop, and I do not want the table information on the top of the ticket; I like the customer's information on the ticket, and I would like to be able to make the customer's name bold so that it stands out.

  10. On the printed Order Receipt/ Expo Receipt, please allow us to modify the header, so that it doesn't just say "Clover Online Shopping Pickup." We attach these receipts to customer orders, so would like to be able to put our brand name (and logo!) on the header.

  12. The Modifiers in COLO automatically set to a specific modifier when the minimum and maximum are both 1. It would be better for the option to have a checkbox that doesn't allow the order to be added to the cart ( like what happens when there are 1min 2 max) than the circle that automatically defaults . This can cause issues especially for merchants who have Vegan/Vegetarian establishments ( the modifier defaulting to a vegetarian item on a vegan order that can easily be overlooked).

  13. Device Printed COLO QR Codes are not enabled for DDD Delivery! Only the QR codes at the dashboard are enabled with DDD delivery option. Most of our merchants do not have PC's/Printers. The ability to print QR codes that work for both pick up and Delivery should be an option.

  14. Please enable promo code / discount option for customers ordering online. This is must have feature for small restaurant businesses in Canada. Upon have a discussion with your representative, this service seems not being activated in Canada.

  15. The app made by Clover, called Order Inspector, does NOT support the Clover Kiosk or the Clover Flex. We are asking Clover to make Order Inspector available on the Clover Kiosk and the Clover Flex that are widely used devices.

    This is the only App made by Clover, available on the Clover App Marketplace that allows you to view, print and email a report of all orders for your own records or for external auditors. This report shows all orders created from that Clover device (including payments) on the current day and can be printed to your receipt printer or…

  16. I have a Clover mini Gen2. I upgraded to a Gen3. Now the new Gen3 printer receipt sounds really choppy and seems a little bit slower. I have both machines side by side doing a test print. I even share the sound to the Tech Support Assistant who is online speaker phone to hear both of them do a test print.

    The new Clover Mini Gen3 printing is not smooth like the old mini GEN2. The sound is choppy and louder and does NOT print smoothly when it comes out of the thermal printer. Is it really supposed to sound…

  18. It would be helpful to be able to assign a different default order type to each register rather than having to choose the order type every time. For example, a drive thru register could be set to Drive Thru as a default order type to help minimize mistakes in the kitchen.

  19. When you make an online order, when you check out the tip function defaults to the lowest tip amount. If the customer doesn't check none, it will default to the lowest tip amount instead of None. we need that to default to None!!!!

  20. We need an option to be able to print each item from an order separately, currently now the option does exist but it puts everything on one receipt and separates each item with a line. Instead of a line we need each item printed alone. I did find an app that does allow it name Smart Print but it also has a lot of bugs.

    For the restaurant we Run there’s multiple cooking stations and i need items separately to give to those cooking stations.
