Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea. Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

Menu: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover’s menu creation feature.

  1. Submitting a request for the Card Type to be put back on the Employee Overview report within the Reporting App on the device. This is an issue for restaurants!

  2. Prior to last week, I could go to "Closeout" and print batch reports. The Closeout screen also gave options for printing Card Type Totals and Server Totals. As of last week, all of the print buttons automatically print all of the reports. I called customer service and found out that this is a result of a recent update. Updates should be improvements. Updates should not decrease my options.

  3. CLOVER BATCH TOTALS SHOWING SURCHARGES FOR 2% CREDIT CARD FEES SO WE KNOW WHAT WAS A SURCHARGE AND WHAT AMOUNT WASN'T WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD ALL THE RECEIPTS.

  4. You should be able to close out the cash drawer mid-day by attaching it to an employee and then when they close their shift, the drawer restarts. It would be nice to be able to put a set amount in the settings that the drawer would start at and then at the end of each shift, reporting would tell you how much money should be in the drawer total including the starting balance. After the morning shift leaves, the drawer should return to that starting balance and reset for the evening shift and all open tabs could have a single…

  5. Clover.com > Reports > Item sales

    Along the top of this screen there are six (6) filter boxes. The rightmost box is 'Categories.' Clicking on this box reveals a drop-down menu where you can select/unselect categories to be displayed.

    It used to be that you could click this box, and it would stay open to allow you to unselect multiple categories until you were done, then click outside the menu and it would apply your filter. Now, each time you click once ANYWHERE in this drop-down menu, the menu disappears, and you have to re-open it again.

  6. Add permission to suppress tip reporting. The data is misleading for restaurants that pool tips as the employee doesn't receipt a closeout.

  7. The Condensed Report would be better condensed by removing the by employee section or at least the option to remove/exclude this detail.

  8. Need to have a report that generates the number of guests each day related directly to each order. This helps with reporting on how much each guest is spending in my taproom.

  10. My servers need to be able to print a report that will show individual transactions with the gratuity listed also. This will greatly help us identify errors and every processor I have ever used has this function. I can't be the only restaurant that needs this function.

  11. It would be great if there were an option to print the list of transactions included in the closeout batch report. I am aware it can be viewed online or on the device but a printing option would be more convenient for me. That was one of the questions I asked the sales person before switching over, only to find that the option is not even an option.

  12. The new condensed sales report on device provides the Sales by Tender Type, but we must add the figures together to determine card totals. It'd be helpful to have the "Total" section from the Full Report on the Condensed Report.
