Taking Payments

There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

1. Virtual Terminal: Provide all feedback on the Virtual Terminal in this category. How can we make this solution more useful for merchants?

2. Refunds/Exchanges: If you have any feedback on Clover’s refund or exchange functions please let us know here.

3. Recurring Payments: Share your thoughts on accepting recurring payments here. Tell us how we can improve.

4. Invoicing: Is there any functionality that can be added to our systems to enhance the invoicing feature? Put your ideas in this forum category.

5. Voids: How can we make voiding a transaction easier and simpler? Tell us your suggestions to improve this payment feature.

  1. Auto-Gratuity feature in Clover Dining

    Clover Dining needs an option to automatically add a gratuity to tables of set number of guests. This is a VERY common feature on restaurant POS systems and may end up losing potential clients.

    This feature needs to be able to be turned on and off (manager permission) as well.

  3. update tip options

    Add both Amount AND percentage options to tip options. Some people like to tip a percentage, others like to tip an even $1, $5, $10 etc

  4. key entered transactions need a tip line

    For pick up orders we used to have the ability to key enter cc info and print receipt with tip line so the customer could tip upon picking up the order, that went away 2 days ago. Please allow it to be enabled

  5. Givex Gift

    Givex Gift Card redemption needs a tip option to make it easier on the customer, rather than the server asking the guest if they want to leave a tip and then adjusting the amount manually. It should be a forced tip screen
