Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. As a fast food takeout restaurant customers will call in the morning or the day before to give in their order to be ready later that day, to do that there should be an option to set a specific time when the kitchen should automatically print the order.

  2. On the KDS when enabling group identical items it should separate the items by guest.

    Not grouping the guest because it’s very confusing. And there’s no setting to disable guest from grouping together.

    Sort Group items by each guest individually.

  3. A merchant has the QR clover online ordering in a food truck space where there many food trucks parked. The facility has their online clover website in their main website. When their customer is using their clover online ordering platform for pick up the clover KDS doesn't send a sms that the order is ready for pick up and Kiosk works. They would like the clover online ordering website hosted by clover for pick up orders to also be able to send sms text like the Kiosk from Kitchen Display

  4. Restaurants NEED "NO" Modifiers ONLY to print in RED

    Currently we are told only ALL modifiers will print in RED

    YET other POS systems businesses are coming off of, allow to CHOOSE what will print in RED on Kitchen Orders ...

  5. There Should Be More Online Ordering Options Offered For The Merchants Sake!

    Example:

    My Set Pickup Time Is For 25mins. This time Frame works about 80% of the time but what happens when you get a massive order in that takes up your whole kitchen space and is not able to be ready within 25mins?

    Its already too late to change anything on my settings because the order came through with a pickup time of 25 mins. Now my staff and kitchen are screwed because clover doesn't offer the Merchant any options to either accept the orders or at least…

  6. KDS data available on Clover Dashboard.

    It would be awesome to have the order times, delayed orders, overdue orders, order types available in the reporting section on the clover dashboard.
    To see the number of 3rd party order apps, website traffic, et cetera.

  7. We would you like to know time between when an order is placed and when it is marked as fulfilled or completed. This will help improve customer satisfaction but also can be tool for training and promotion.

  8. There should have an option for the order printing, each printed ticket should able to auto-cut after each item or category to allow physical separation.

    This enables both preparation of the dishes and placing the receipt under each dish for table delivery guidance.

    use case example:

    In a busy restaurant, several tables place orders for sushi items that are prepared by the same chef and printed to the same kitchen printer. For instance:

    Table A orders: Sushi A ×1, B ×2, C ×3, D ×1, E ×2, F ×1

    Table B orders: Sushi A ×2, C ×2, D ×3, E…

  9. I would like to access prep times per order & per day. We receive at times that food took too long and then we need to access the data. Also to monitor the efficiency of the kitchen.

  10. The chime that plays when an order is fired to the KDS is not loud enough. We turned up all the volume settings in the settings app, and with a noisy kitchen, it is very hard to hear. In some spots of the kitchen, I can't hear it at all. There also should be a way to change the type of chime that plays. Some chimes are easier to hear. I noticed in the settings app, you can change the chime type for notifications, but you cant for orders that fire to the KDS. Very disappointing. Hope its an easy…

  11. Print the full order with all courses shown. The ones to be fired are shown as prepare, the course to follow show hold. This way the kitchen knows what is coming and can plan. Then the wait staff can send a re-fire to prepare the courses when needed.

  12. Orders shown on KDS should be able to snake around rather than having to scroll down. Right now they have to scroll down to see the entire order. That is not ideal for a busy restaurant They are switching from toast and they have the ability to see the entire order without having to scroll.

  13. KDS - Multiple Courses - show all the courses and firing by prep time

    Different dishes has different prep time, therefore some 2nd course dishes need to be fired at the same time as 1st course dishes.
    Some items are fulfilled quickly and can end up getting cold (or warm) while waiting for service, and other items need more time. It slows service down.

  14. KDS Merchant request-can we turn off the sleep mode. If the KDS goes to sleep they may miss an order popping up.
