Why can you not get itemized details on Invoices. This is INSANE.

This is a standard feature of any invoice creation software. WITHOUT ITEMIZED DETAIL, IT IS NOT AN INVOICE. IT IS A RECEIPT. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

Please add this VERY SIMPLE AND OBVIOUS feature! I'm this close to cancelling Clover altogether!

Why is Cliver not listening to this? I’ve called in and suggested as well. Clover’s invoicing system for boutiques is why I’m going to end up canceling the service. It’s way behind in regards to other platforms and I’ve been asking for years with no avail.

Clover needs to stop releasing half-baked feature sets to the market. As an ISO reseller, I meet with merchants every day who are hesitant to use Clover because of issues they’ve experienced with the platform. One glaring example is the inability to process partial refunds, a standard function in business, which was unavailable for years despite Clover’s widespread use.

A more recent issue is the invoicing feature within the Clover website dashboard, which doesn’t pull from the inventory items set up in Clover. This feature feels like little more than a Word document with a payment link—it’s a missed opportunity to deliver real value. What’s the point of an invoicing tool that doesn’t integrate with inventory like other platforms, such as QuickBooks or Square?

We’re alienating Clover merchants, leading them to abandon the system altogether. When selling Clover, we naturally expect the invoicing feature to be fully functional, including the ability to pull from inventory—just like any standard invoicing tool. These underdeveloped features leave us feeling like we’re misrepresenting the product to clients.

I’ve heard that Clover is working on the ability to create multiple menus, which is a great feature. However, it shouldn’t take precedence over essential functions like pulling inventory onto invoices. Please, stop releasing incomplete features and focus on perfecting the existing ones before rolling out new developments. This approach is making the sales team look like incompetent liars, and it’s frustrating for everyone involved.

I received an update from Clover stating this idea had a 'Status Update' - so, what is the status update?? This is a basic feature almost every other online payment processor has out of the box. I never even looked for it as a feature because I assumed it was there. I have to manually create paid invoices which is ridiculous. Please update?

Unbelievably, such a large POS provider doesn't see the importance to business owners knowing what a customer paid for. Payment links only show YOUR TOTAL to the customer instead of an itemized line. Receipts once paid only show the total paid and not what was purchased also. I wonder if we made a mistake switching to Clover!

Hello- I've had clients asking that they want the option to add a tip to their clover invoices. Example: I have a cleaning business who sends out invoices to her clients to be paid. Her clients want to be able to add a tip to the invoice. All service types of businesses need this functionality when using clover for virtual payments.

I really need this feature. I preform pressure washing and handyman services. People get real grateful when you go the extra mile but aren't always onsite. When invoicing was created customer provided tipping should have been a no brainier just a field for $.$$

Invoice line item detail and taxes were supposed to be available last June. We are still forced to use Square for our catering invoices to clients because this option is STILL not available. Please advise on the timeline.

I left Quickbooks and Zoho for Clover. I thought the invoicing feature was going to be better. It's not. It would be good to have the invoicing feature be a TRUE invoice instead of a POS type entry. An invoice would have several line items (rows) we can fill in with things we are charging our clients. Columns would include Unit Numbers, and Unit Pricing, and a Total. Then at the bottom, a grand total of every line items (or rows). Because Clover doesn't have any of these at all, I cannot use Clover and must find other platforms. Too bad, I was hoping to save. But like another commenter said, the savings of 3% is worthless.

Since we are a club and not a retail business or restaurant, our members pay their membership dues online. We would provide them a payment link. When creating a payment link, we have to add the description of the item they are buying, but that description is NOT listed when the member opens the payment link. It just says TOTAL $XX.XX. They have no clue what they are purchasing. Plus after payment is made, the receipt they receive does not have what was purchased either. This needs to be changed.

We would like to invoice clients using the laptop and choose an item from our inventory. We use the inventory for the POS at events. But we would like to invoice for Classes and Camps and use inventory and not just use the notes for a more professional look/ experience for our clients. I found a backdoor way on the phone but I don't want to run that amount of business $$ just on the phone. Thank you!

Hello- on clover payments for the invoicing option, customers are requesting to be able to add more detailed notes on the invoice to show purchased products, pricing, quanity etc. They would like an inventory option to be able to add to the invoices with clover virtual payments.

Would like to have the INVOICE line item on a Hosted Payment Page when the invoice option is checked within the payments section of the clover virtual terminal. Or, an option to add any custom fields on the Hosted Payment Page.

Please add item selection to invoicing! I am not able to manage inventory or sentd itemized receipts without this feature.

Hello! Do we have any news on this ?? It was in BETA last summer and was supposed to be available by end of Q2 2023... Please advise. I am using Square for all of my invoices until this is possible in Clover. Such a waste.

Allow itemized invoicing for each line item and line for shipping charges
Allow for custom items line by line with option to add sales tax to each.
Also include an option to add shipping line

We switched from another service to Clover for various reasons, and the previous service offered detailed invoicing options for allowing line items. We often send invoices to the federal government and adding a note isn't going to cut it, line items are a requirement. We're going to have to send invoices using our previous service since Clover is lacking this feature.
