Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. The Web Dashboard does not have the ability to view Open Orders from the Orders tab. The drop down menu under All Order Types is blank, there are no selections for Open or Closed. The ability to sort the columns is also gone.

  2. I suggest team to add feature for adding items with variants via excel upload on web dashboard. Currently only allows user to add variants one by one manually in clover device, which is too complicated and not efficient.

  3. I need an option to refund one or more specific items to a debit card not just to refund the entire payment. There is this option on credit cards and cash sale but not debit cards. Most of my sales happen via debit card so this would be incredibly handy when a customer comes back to return just one or two items

  4. Currently there is no way to filter by payments made through the Virtual Terminal in the Clover Dashboard. Existing workaround is to export transactions to csv file and sort by keyed transaction. Merchant would like an easier solution for filtering Virtual Terminal transactions, similar to what exists for device filtering.

  5. Even though under business information it says "View your MID" it doesn't show up there at all...
    Crazy how updates are thrown without verifying and making sure everything is correct.
    Please bring back MID so when we call we know the Merchant ID number.

  6. With today's dashboard update, i can't see the "Menu" on the left side. It has disappeared from the Dashboard.

    All your articles that reference click left on the "Menu" are all invalid now. No quality control before releasing the dashboard update ?

  10. Merchant suggested to seamlessly update his business's phone number. He didn't like the process of contacting clover support, and then being transferred to merchant services.

    Clover is rolling out self - service features including updating address and phone number for the business.  This will be available for most merchants in North America.


    You can reach out to your reseller to see if your account would be included in these updates.

  11. The merchant would like to have the order status added to the Web Dashboard as shown on the Clover devices for paid, open or partially paid orders
