Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. We are constantly adding new items into our register app. We organize these items by categories. When adding new items and assigning a category, it is easier to view these items in alphabetical order. In order to achieve this with the clover, we are require to manually drag items around to arrange them in alphabetical order.

    Previous POS systems we have used had a "button" that allowed us to automatically alphabetize the items in a category, if we chose to do so. This is a feature that is desperately needed and seems relatively easy to support.

  2. Have heard from merchants moving from Shopkeep that they really liked the ability to color code categories and items as it would help their team quickly identify whatever they are searching for - so quicker customer experience.

    Any chance to allow us to color code things on the gui side?

  3. An integration for Clover to print to kitchen, track orders, and report all delivery services including UberEats, GrubHub, Postmates, etc.

    By providing this integration and removing the need for multiple additional tablets, we save merchants time, money, and frustration with tracking that information and reporting end of day.

  4. Let's say Table 15 ordered another bottle of wine, but the server places it under Table 5. We need to be able to move that item to the proper table.

  6. The Web Dashboard does not have the ability to view Open Orders from the Orders tab. The drop down menu under All Order Types is blank, there are no selections for Open or Closed. The ability to sort the columns is also gone.

  9. Let me say, I love your technology. We recently installed 3 Clover PoS stations in our full-service restaurant and you guys knocked it out of the park.

    That being said...it is clear that those who wrote the technology have spent very little time being 'in a hurry' while working on the floor of a full service dining room. Your programs are missing a multitude of features that speed a front of house employee's job up that are common across all other platforms. (Aldelo, Micros, Aloha, Squirrel etc.)

  10. Gift card value should be accepted as a payment type through online ordering. Limiting gift cards to in-store use is a hassle.

  12. I can't have my accountants contacting me for code to access every time they need to access my clover. Please fix this, it's a huge issue for customers who have more than one person accessing our accounts on-line!

  13. Within the order online it would be helpful to be able to adjust the times items are available. We have a lunch special that goes until 3:00 but we don't want people to order it at dinner so I've had to remove the lunch menu from the online menu.

    We believe the ability to have multiple menus available for your online ordering options will solve your need.  We are currently rolling out this feature to all eligible merchants and expect to have it fully rolled out before the end of Q1 2024.

  14. We had several requests for merchant improvement concerning the virtual terminal. Here are some improvements to be made or corrected.

    Virtual Terminal
    1. In "Take a payment", it is only possible to choose a single tax. However, there are several provinces which have 2 taxes (Quebec and others). It would be necessary to be able to select the 2 taxes. Yes it is possible to create a general tax, but it distorts their tax report afterwards.

    1. If we use "Invoicing" to send an invoice to pay, it is no longer possible to delete it later.

  16. I suggest team to add feature for adding items with variants via excel upload on web dashboard. Currently only allows user to add variants one by one manually in clover device, which is too complicated and not efficient.

  17. Merchant explain that she sell cigarette in her business and the prices change a lot doing the year and it would make changing prices on the dashboard by selecting all the items that need to have the same price all at once and just changing only the prices because most cigarettes have different types but all of them are the same price when it come to the type of cigarette

  18. All the online orders are charged online now, so while customers are placing the online orders, they need to pass the AVS verification in order to have the orders placed successfully. Otherwise, the orders should be reject and not going through.

  19. Currently there is no way to filter by payments made through the Virtual Terminal in the Clover Dashboard. Existing workaround is to export transactions to csv file and sort by keyed transaction. Merchant would like an easier solution for filtering Virtual Terminal transactions, similar to what exists for device filtering.

  20. Merchant suggested to seamlessly update his business's phone number. He didn't like the process of contacting clover support, and then being transferred to merchant services.

    Clover is rolling out self - service features including updating address and phone number for the business.  This will be available for most merchants in North America.


    You can reach out to your reseller to see if your account would be included in these updates.
