Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. We are constantly adding new items into our register app. We organize these items by categories. When adding new items and assigning a category, it is easier to view these items in alphabetical order. In order to achieve this with the clover, we are require to manually drag items around to arrange them in alphabetical order.

    Previous POS systems we have used had a "button" that allowed us to automatically alphabetize the items in a category, if we chose to do so. This is a feature that is desperately needed and seems relatively easy to support.

  2. Have heard from merchants moving from Shopkeep that they really liked the ability to color code categories and items as it would help their team quickly identify whatever they are searching for - so quicker customer experience.

    Any chance to allow us to color code things on the gui side?

  3. An integration for Clover to print to kitchen, track orders, and report all delivery services including UberEats, GrubHub, Postmates, etc.

    By providing this integration and removing the need for multiple additional tablets, we save merchants time, money, and frustration with tracking that information and reporting end of day.

  4. Let's say Table 15 ordered another bottle of wine, but the server places it under Table 5. We need to be able to move that item to the proper table.

  5. Multiple Menu. Can you please add the capabilities to have multiple menus for 1 mid instead of using 2 mids as is the practice now.

  7. The Web Dashboard does not have the ability to view Open Orders from the Orders tab. The drop down menu under All Order Types is blank, there are no selections for Open or Closed. The ability to sort the columns is also gone.

  9. On the Terminal Software, while we can checkmark the box in setup to "Log out after transaction," it will not log out. On traditional credit card terminals we had the option for a Server ID. On the Mini we must use Employee Pins, but if someone forgets to lock the screen after their transaction, or needs to attribute the sale to a different server- it is a hassle. If the log out feature functioned on the terminal software, it would be a start at resolving this issue.

    To have your servers automatically logged out after completing a transaction you'll need to turn on 'Log out after completing payment on each order' found in the Payments setting of your Clover Dashboard.



  10. We need a 3rd Party Ordering Check Box so we can have a separate Inventory/Menu, in the INVENTORY>ITEMS submenu so that we can price DoorDash etc independently, from our POS or our own Online Pricing

  12. I process for a growing franchise called Outer Banks Boil Company. We need the ability to INTEGRATE into a WIX website where a customer has the option to "purchase" an item with the option to pay in-store, and leave a tip online. This new integration with WIX should allow complete branding including customization with logos etc, ability to purchase online and the order is received and printed in-store by a Clover POS.

    At this time Clover partners with SkuIQ for Inventory syncing between Clover and WIX. Below is the App market listing for this solution. We do not have a payment plug in, but inventory and sales syncing is possible with SkuIQ

  13. Let me say, I love your technology. We recently installed 3 Clover PoS stations in our full-service restaurant and you guys knocked it out of the park.

    That being said...it is clear that those who wrote the technology have spent very little time being 'in a hurry' while working on the floor of a full service dining room. Your programs are missing a multitude of features that speed a front of house employee's job up that are common across all other platforms. (Aldelo, Micros, Aloha, Squirrel etc.)

  17. I can't have my accountants contacting me for code to access every time they need to access my clover. Please fix this, it's a huge issue for customers who have more than one person accessing our accounts on-line!

  18. Within the order online it would be helpful to be able to adjust the times items are available. We have a lunch special that goes until 3:00 but we don't want people to order it at dinner so I've had to remove the lunch menu from the online menu.

    We believe the ability to have multiple menus available for your online ordering options will solve your need.  We are currently rolling out this feature to all eligible merchants and expect to have it fully rolled out before the end of Q1 2024.

  19. We had several requests for merchant improvement concerning the virtual terminal. Here are some improvements to be made or corrected.

    Virtual Terminal
    1. In "Take a payment", it is only possible to choose a single tax. However, there are several provinces which have 2 taxes (Quebec and others). It would be necessary to be able to select the 2 taxes. Yes it is possible to create a general tax, but it distorts their tax report afterwards.

    1. If we use "Invoicing" to send an invoice to pay, it is no longer possible to delete it later.

  20. Would like to be able to start tables/tabs for customers and have customers able to order additional items with the QR code to their tab without having to close out(pay).
