Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. For Online Orders- I want to be able to apply "Happy Hour" deals so that I can do a 2 for 1 discount specifically on a category or item. Please allow Happy Hour to reflect in the Online Ordering ( Clover App ) or for third party apps to contribute to quantity discounts/specials.

  2. Be able to print receipt for over 90 items on a receipt

  3. Give the option in online orders for Dine In or Pick Up because a lots of customers sit on the table and place an order through the clover online and we always package it as a To Go order and not even call the customer name because we are waiting for the customer to come and claim it and we get surprise that the customer has been at the restaurant sitting on the table before the order has been submitted witch cost us to repackage it as Dine in and we lose the freshness of the food that the customer…

  5. Need to be able to select to recieve and email or text of each transaction when it happens, just like if you send an invoice to someone you get notified they paid it.

  7. The URL's on Clover receipts are so bad. I run into vendors so often that have HTTPS://WWW.NONE.COM/ -- why bother displaying that?!

    Why bother displaying HTTPS://WWW or the slash at the end of the URL?

    Can't it just be "restaurant.ca" or "RESTAURANT.CA" instead of HTTPS://WWW.RESTAURANT.CA/"?

    I've even seen receipts where the URL is split across two lines like this:

    "HTTPS://SOMETHINGCOFFEE.COM
    /"

    There's gotta be a better way. The HTTPS is not essential. The WWW is only essential in RARE situations, as the browser will almost always attempt to add the www if browsing to the TLD doesn't work.…

  8. In a QSR with multiple cash registers, it would be great if the order numbers on the printed kitchen tickets were sequential.

    We primarily use one register, but during rush we use a second register. If the primary register is on order #50 and then someone jumps on the second register and takes an order, that order should be #51…as it is right now, that prints in the kitchen as order #1 and can easily cause confusion as to the actual order sequence and lead to firing food out of order.

  9. The updated 3Gen Solo device does not feature a tap or apple option like the 2Gen did on the printer. Why not set up the Flex device to have the same capabilities as a Mini device does but used at the drive thru widow? Then we can actually extend the device to the customer to tip and tap right out the window.

  10. Give customers who are sitting in the restaurant the ability to order from their table under their own individual tab. While currently you can order from the table with the print table barcode function, this only allows items to be added to the whole table, and not under each guests individual tab. Sorting the ordered items to the correct guests afterwards would take too much work and would lead to more order mixups, especially as you cannot currently name each guest.

  11. My merchant sells food the pound and is using clover with a weight scale, he would like to be able to enter manually the pounds in the clover when he is selling future orders for holidays etc... without actually weighting the product at the time of placing he order. The clover doesn't let him enter the quantity in pounds typed only coming from the weight scale... is this something Clover can do using the weight scale or there is a solution to this issue? Thank you

  12. Online Ordering Frequency would allow you to edit/limit the frequency by which customers can place online orders through your Online Ordering platform. Essentially you as the merchant are able to set the number of orders that can be placed within a specific timeframe, like in 10 Mins, 30 mins, an hour, etc

    A lot of my smaller Clover Restaurants have limited capacity to how many orders they can make at a time so during their busiest hours its extremely helpful to have a feature that allows the merchant to mitigate receiving a high number of simultaneous orders by limiting how…

  13. When I select an item such as a latte I am then presented options such as milk type, syrups, temperature etc.

    The issue I have now if I select multiple of the same modifier such as vanilla syrup it prints out on the order ticket like this and can lead to very long order receipts:

    Latte ICED
    Oat milk
    Vanilla
    Vanilla
    Vanilla
    hazelnut

    ideally it would look like this:

    Latte ICED
    Oat milk
    3 x Vanilla
    1 x hazelnut

  14. Issue: Missing Uber Eats Item Notes in Clover

    Problem:
    Customer item notes from Uber Eats do not appear in Clover, causing inefficiencies and forcing merchants to disable notes.

  17. I have a huge problem with the clover kiosk. There are 2 payment options, Credit Card and Cash, but if you select the Cash option you have to wait for the Duo Station. Customers complain because their orders are delayed. Solution: After selecting the Cash option, the order must be printed on the order printer so as not to lose your place in the order queue.

Customer wants their order receipts in their Clover Kiosk to show "PAY AT REGISTER" and "PLEASE TAKE THIS TICKET TO REGISTER AND COMPLETE PAYMENT" in Spanish since the merchant is located in Puerto Rico where the initial language is Spanish. It is creating problems for him since not all consumers know English and are disgusted with him because of the long wait. We need the merchant to be able to count on a system that does not create issues.

  20. I am Hossein, one of the managers of Diyako Cafe. We are using Clover systems, and we have a very important problem with that. In the case that we have more than one person on a table, and we serve some items to them, when the first person wants to pay for its order and leave and the other people remains, we can’t add any other items to the table.
