An error occurred while saving the comment Renae commentedIn our state there are Tax holidays certain times on a broad range of categories, usually for clothing and supplies with cost limits. We need to be able to just for that period of time make an item tax free as we scan for the customer's purchase.

An error occurred while saving the comment Renae commentedIt seems ridiculous that any information is limited by length of time. I've had my business many years and always research previous months and years for data. My little boutique has many repeated styles we need size and quantity history on.
Only now that we have Clover for almost 2 months is any information a struggle to eke out. I'm actually afraid to see what other issues we are about to discover with this system. It's a cash register, not a point of sale system apparently.Renae supported this idea · -

We also need to be able to return for an exchange of customers choice. The customer should be able to return their purchase for any combination of items cost to make up the price difference. We have to waste our time and theirs putting the return/exchange on a gift card because we do not give refunds. Then they usually right then use the gift card for an exchange of their choice. Not limited to only an item of the exact price in inventory. We are charged a fee by Clover for the gift card and a fee based on a percentage of how much value the card sale is.
A good retail boutique point of sale would let you scan the return item then scan whatever they choose to purchase. Then they would be charged for the difference or given a gift card as in store credit.
